OOPS!

Greetings!  I doubt if anyone is making the roast with quick gravy today,  but wanted to let you know that I forgot to add the 1 tsp. of  Paprika that also goes in the wine.  I changed the copy and am listing the corrected version.  Blogger used to allow a post to publish new after editing and changing back to draft, but it isn't working so I thought I better do another post, just in case.  For those of you that aren't crazy about mushrooms, they are not noticed at all in the soup or gravy.  Really.  And - I found another spot for Mary Oldfield.  I guess I have to explore every possibility, don't I?  She's back on the cupboard but I really like this option for a change.
Thank you all for the well wishes, surgery went fine.  He did upper and lower this time. My ice bag is ready and I'll be stitching for a while after I blow the leaves.  Again.
Here's the correct recipe.  Talk to you soon.

You're gonna blow leaves after gum surgery?

I'm glad that the surgery went well, but you're going out and blowing leaves. Silly woman, take full advantage of it and just sit and stitch!

Wow! You are up and at 'em so soon after surgery, Marly... That is great news! Sure hope the pain isn't too bad and that you're as good as new very soon.

Your sampler in the basket looks perfect--love the unique way you always find to display your finishes!

I'll trust you on the mushroom flavor not being too much because I detest mushrooms! But, this really doesn sound delicious so I plan on giving it a try...

Love the sampler in the basket. Another great idea on your part. Take care after gum surgery. I cannot believe you are blowing leaves. I refuse to do that even when I feel wonderful. I have got to try your clove covered pear. What a clever thing to do.
Anyway, love your blog.
Take care of yourself,
Sandra

So glad to hear you are doing well. Thanks for that recipe, perfect for one of our cool rainy days!! I love the way you are displaying Mary. I got the magazine she is in. Did you pretty much follow the directions in the magazine? I remember you had some color problems (DMC colors not being consistent), right?

Your idea of not "framing" pieces
is great.....moving them around
e.g., cupboard to basket, basket to where ever as the whim hits you is a terrific idea!

Ok....I'm exercising my reserved right to change my mind....I LOVE Mary here.... And thanks for the recipe...always looking for ways to change up a roast (although, if I continue to make just mediocre ones, perhaps my husband will continue to cook on roast nights???) ;o) TFS! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
