Happy Thanksgiving

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!  Mark is working, my sister is enjoying the day with her son and grandson's family, and I'll be dusting, sweeping, and drinking cough medicine.  Is this the correct spelling of relapse?  I put the rest of the paper mache away for another time, and decided to donate several dozen of the last shipment to the nursing home.  They are ivory inside and out and I think they would be perfect for craft activity, either applying stickers or coloring with highlighters, and residents could make a pretty little box to keep or give as a gift.  Maybe I'll get a few books of stickers for them too.

A few boxes are listed on the Sampler Box page if you are interested.

When reading Ellen's blog With my Needle, I saw that she purchased sampler note cards.  Without local shops, I don't know if they are something commonly found but they sure aren't easy to find online.  Great gift for stitching buds and to have for personal handwritten notes which are always appreciated.  If you want to check them out you can find ordering information here.  The photo and offer is from Morven Museum in New Jersey.  Now I'm seriously considering using my sampler photos to make note cards and sets.

Wishing you all a great weekend!
Stay safe ~ thanks for visiting.

Hope your will be feeling better very soon. I have been making cards from some of the photos I take for my blog. I sell them at the little antique shop where I sell my dolls. Some of my cards are of my own antique samplers and they sell very well.
Enjoy your quiet time.

Aww Marly, I am sorry you feel like junk again.
God bless you for thinking of the nursing home. Henry and I need to get back to "our" nursing home. I wanted to make sure his neck was healed first.
A Blessed Thanksgiving to you today!

Sorry you are still under the weather. Perhaps today you can relax and rest? I have the feeling you have been doing for others too much and not taking care of yourself enough. Perhaps this day by yourself will be a good thing. I'm hoping to get over to that sampler exhibit before it closes. And go to the gift shop too. lol! Happy Thanksgiving!

I bought some sampler cards once. They were very nice although a bit on the large side. I would like to do some smaller ones that you can post with exchanges and RAKs. xx

Hope by now you have gotten past the worst of the illness that got you! Too bad about the paper mache boxes. Awfully nice of you to donate to a nursing home! And I think making note cards of YOUR samplers is an excellent idea. My framer also designed some repro samplers, so am going to suggest the same to her! Hugs!
