On the road again

Hi.  How are you on this date that we will never forget?  Can you watch the video and be any less stunned than you were the first time you saw it?  I can't.

The queen bee is back in the bumble bee car.  It looks pretty darn good!
I'm also back on the linen again.  Not much...little at a time....but I finished the top except for the satin border, and started on the script alpha bottom.  I will complete the border flowers as the final stitches.  Numbness is better at times and I thank all of you for your concern and best wishes.
I am still trying to organize and reduce stash and craft supplies, but I have several of these lap throws that are heavy wool and want to keep them for projects.  Problem is, I've never dyed wool plaid and have no idea how it would turn out.  Darker all over would be the expected result but I don't know how prominent the plaid will be. I will find out soon enough.
My Gingher nippers came in and I love playing with them.  They stay in the palm of your hand while your other crooked fingers can still maneuver the fabric, then a quick snip of thread, and back to sewing.  I guess most quilters would use these when sewing the patchwork together, but I'll be using them any time I am at the machine.  So tired of searching under the fabric for the little scissors.
I don't think Nitzy will ever catch on.
Can you believe how fast September is moving?  Coming up on the middle of the month's weekend.  Did you ever clean throw rugs with a power washer?  Works pretty neat!!  We still have quite a bit to do this week, but I will be checking out some new charts, especially Nash's.  Love 'em.
Enjoy and stay safe ~ thanks for visiting!

Glad your car is back! We've been having cars in the shop as well so I know what a pleasure it is to get your car back all shiny and new looking. Love your stitching. Hope that numbness goes away! I have very small hands so I think those snippers wouldn't stay in my hand while I worked. They still look handy though.

I will never forget that day. I still get teary just thinking about the horror. Thankfully I don't have a TV so won't be reliving it in that way. My memory is horror enough.
Hugs :)

I'm glad you got your car back, and you are right, it does look pretty darned good! :) Your sampler is looking pretty! And those nippers look like a neat little tool. Bless Nitzy's sweet little heart. :) He reminds me of a cat my mother had - he would plant himself right in the center of the feeding pan. It made eating an interesting task for the other cats.

Your car looks terrific! The nippers are interesting, but if I were to try and use them I have no doubt they would draw blood in no time. Hope the numbness is gone soon. Great stitching.

Marly, I couldn't be happier for you getting your "Bee" back. Those Fords can take a "licking" and keep on "ticking". I love my Aerostar. She's old but she's still on the road.
I hope the numbness that you are experiencing will go away forever.
We never know what kitties are thinking.. My two amaze me with their cute antics. We've had black and white kitties and they seem to have a personality all their own.
Have a happy, cooler day.

I love how I always learn a new little tidbit every time I visit you, Marly. Would never have thought about cleaning throw rugs with a power washer!!

Good to see your car is back and ready for driving...sounds like you're a bit hesitant to go very far, though, with that painful neck. Did the other driver lose his license or anything?

Kitties--gotta love them! I sure miss having one around the house. There will come a day, mark my words, when I'll tell my husband--"I don't care about your darn allergies, I'm getting a cat!!"
