Hiya. I mentioned previously about my lack of knowledge regarding my spinning wheel. Is it early? A basic type? Unusual? I've seen others similar but they have a smaller wheel with fancy spokes and the wood is smooth. Maybe one of you could enlighten me. I took photos showing the rough cut wheel and other details. The loops holding the ???? are leather, the nails holding the spokes are tiny squares, the ones holding the edges are round and pounded over. You can still see the scribe marks for the cut openings. It's been sitting upstairs in an unused room for a long time and needs a good cleaning with a brush.

Sorry I can't offer any info or advice.
Me either but it sure is a beauty!
I can't help with the wheel but I found the best polish on my trip to Pa. It's called "Bee's Wax" (brand name) and comes in a spray yellow can. You can use it on everything! I'm really picky about putting anything on my cherry and mahogany but this is wonderful! I put it on old paint too.
That "unused" room you have...I need it!!!

That is one cool wheel! Don't know anything about it though. Have you tried contacting a knitting store? Or someone like yarn harlot? (Google her.)
Wish I could help with info on the spinning wheel. I have always loved them. Your greens in the buckets are really nice and fit perfectly as you have them. How can it be only 3 weeks until Christmas!

I know nothing about the spinning wheel except to say it is quite a find! I hope you find someone who can assist you in identifying the era, maker, etc...

You might want to try contacted Country Living Magazine. You will be asked to send pictures of your item. They get back to you very quickly with a fair amount of information. If you want more specifics, there is a nominal charge. I used them to help identify a small, engraved gold box that was from my husband's great, great aunt. I couldn't be more pleased with the service provided. Good luck!
