Hi friends. Greetings from PA snowmageddon.
Hope your Christmas, although restricted, was still wonderful. Planning, decorating, buying, anticipating, baking .... sort of like a wedding. The long preparation is over in a day. And the cookie table is bare. Well .... mine is.
Have I stitched? No. The joint pain in my hands, ankles, and hips is worsening and it may be the Sjogrens. Joints, kidney, lungs, fatigue, can all be involved in progression. I'm hoping this is a flare and will eventually calm and revert back to normal miserable. I've been dropping so many things and controlling that needle was not working. So instead, I decided to work on final finishes. Rather than construct a drum as planned, the box was an easier option.
But I can set it on a lower table too. Not sure if I will add a cording or not.
Hoping for a weekend of rest and comfort for everyone. And that blogger fixes the photo issues in 2021. And the cookie elf restocks my cookie table.
Stay safe!

Merry day after Christmas. Time to rest and reflect.
Ours was quiet but nice. Had Cracker Barrel meal(curb side pickup) on Christmas Eve, leftovers on
Christmas day. NICE.
Love you strawberry box. So pretty.
Hope you'll soon be feeling better.
Send some snow to VA. We did have flurries Christmas day. Love that !
Charlotte in Va.
Love you strawberry box. The rain washed all the snow away. I woke up to see drapes still closed and the sound of the shopvac from the basement. I know what that meant...2 in of water in the basement!! See why I prefer snow.. I stay upstair and let him get on with it. At a lull I asked my husband why he went to check he said one of our cats was down cellar screaming. She could not get to the litter box! Keep well or in your case get well .
The strawberry box is really pretty Marly. We have no snow up here, but it is frigid!
Beautiful finish!
We had our first white Christmas in many years. Probably 12" or more. Pretty...but it can go away now.
That strawberry box is simply amazing! Ya know, I never really thought about "thinking about" displaying it on its side and making sure the alignment was conducive to that. I can be very obtuse about very simple concepts sometimes. Do you just use batting to "poof" it up? and dang...I love your boxes... So much better than the papier mache ones. But not to be found in these parts. We had a white Christmas (surprise...not) but just barely (truly a surprise). Makes me wonder what's ahead. Me...glad Christmas is over. I don't have to even pretend to be festive anymore. ~Robin~
Merry Christmas !
The strawberries look delicious !
Very pretty pics
Hope you get better and feel better even sooner !
Seasons greetings! Wondering if you recessed the lid on the Shaker box yourself ... and if so, how? You have given me many great ideas and helpful hints over the years!
Hope you feel better soon! Happy holidays.
