The grass is not always greener

on a sampler without a chart.  I'm lazy, I'm tired, the space bar isn't working all the time, and I want to finish this.  How hard could it be to randomly fill in with green thread?  I found out.  The 503 stayed, I'm building a hill with 3012 and topping with 3013.  I don't know why.  The sheep will be in place next and then I'll finish the grass.

Should the fence be there?  I could remove it easily, add the sheep, wouldn't need the grassy area as high.  SOOO close to finishing.  Have you ever loved a sampler but by the end, because of difficulties, lost interest completely?

I finally gave in and made a dental appointment this Monday after we get back from Carole's follow up.  I've been in pain for weeks, unable to chew, need two root canals and new crowns.  His office doesn't offer a loan plan and requires same day payment.  We all have anxiety about dental visits, but my jaw locks easily and I panic.  These two are back molars and I'll be nutsy all weekend.  No one will notice anything different.

We've got grainy ice, wet snow, icy ice, ice balls, and freezing rain.  None of which are movable with a snow blower or a shovel.  Can't wait to see what we wake up to tomorrow.  Hope you're safe and well!

Love the fence, grassy hill and the words......."God save America".
I need to go to A dentist too. Have been putting it off........won't go to my usual one, need to find a new one that will be kind, gentle and not charge an arm and a leg.
Sorry you're in pain. Nothing worse than a tooth ache.
All we got was rain......still more today, I think.
Take care.

Huh. I thought you had already stitched that part? I had to go back and look closer at the post from a few days ago, now I see that was your sketched out version. I think. Not a sampler, but I'm sure having trouble getting the Halloween Littles casket finished. I have to re-lace some panels, then put it all together. Maybe after QOV sew-in day Saturday is over and out of the way.

I'm sorry about the dental issues. It costs sooooo much to fix! I'd hate to add up what we've spent on DH's issues over the years. I wouldn't be surprised if it was $15K-$20k and that is with dental insurance. I hope all goes well with your dental work and you get some relief.

It seems I experience that feeling you expressed about the end of a sampler with almost all my projects LOL. I do like the fence. I vote it stays. Good luck with the dentist thing.... I was supposed to have periodontal surgery last month but the dr changed his mind at the last minute as he was not comfortable doing oral surgery with the immune suppressant injections. So, instead, he opted for root planing and scaling. Yes, it's as painful as it sounds. He did one side of my mouth and then the other side last week. I still have discomfort on that last side...I think from perhaps biting my tongue due to the numbing? Who knows...it just HURTS! And so does my bank account. Hope yours is less painful in all ways. Crap about that ice stuff. I'm not certain what we've done to deserve it, but we here in Nod have missed the past several storms everyone else has had. It's blistering cold here (yes, blistering applies to cold as well as heat...trust me), but only light snows...and, thankfully, no ice. Stay safe and warm. ~Robin~

Marly,
Have you checked into getting a CareCredit account? It's specifically for vet, doctor, & dentist bills. They offer interest-free monthly payments for 12 months if it's over $200. Not all doctors or dentists take CareCredit, but it's certainly worth checking into. CareCredit saved me one dreadful night last February when I had to pony up $3200 for an emergency vet visit for my Maine Coon, Lucky.
Good luck with your dentist visit!
