Nice to meet you

Wow.  The cartouche border met on 40 count!  Surprised and relieved, all the leaves and flowers up next.  Not my thing as you know, but neither is all the over one to be stitched inside this.

The 758 sub for 353 did not show as well, brighter is better once again.  I switched the wreath flowers to dmc 20.  Not sure if I will move up to the darker 21 or 352 in this cartouche border, but doubtful.  There are two yellows with the flowers, barely visible, a darker flower would look odd.

A peony that I've had for years finally offered a few flowers.  Lovely darker pink and to my surprise, the petals tightened after cutting to vase.  The light pink always open and drop petals quickly, not so with this color!

Doctor late today, I plan to request an mri, this has been going on for over a year.  Tolerable until last week and now debilitating.  I am not a runner (walking is an effort!), cyclist (lol!), do not understand the cause.  Sjogren's affects joints and that started last year, but this isn't a joint.

Have a good day folks!

Thanks for visiting.

I love your peonies! I had yellow peonies for the first time in 3 years this year and they are great on the bush but a disaster in the vase! Congratulations on the cartouche meeting up!

I had IT band problems after a knee replacement. The surgeon said that he must have touched it. It was unbearable pain and I just could not sit/stand/lie down for any amount of time. The at home PT was not any help. But when I went to a PT office, he was able to give me exercises that worked. He said the IT band tightens up so stretches are the remedy. Slow, steady stretches. And he was right. Now, when it starts to act up, I do the exercises and things are better right away.

Good luck with getting a cure! I don't know if your Sjoguns (sp?) affects it.

That is going to be a gorgeous sampler marly (actually it already is). Your peonies are gorgeous. I usually don't cut ours because ANTS. I hate bringing them into the house. Hope the Dr has some answers for you and you get the MRI. Good luck!

I have to wonder if some of the landscaping work triggered the hip woes? That can be ever bit as punishing as running or cycling IMHO. I hope they agree you need more diagnostic work than poking and prodding.

Gorgeous peonies, and the sampler is looking good with your color change.

Hope today's visit will solve some of this dilemma...I can imagine how
concerned you must be about the pain and the effect on your mobility and function.. Praying you through. Rejoicing with you on the meeting up on
the cartouche. Your peonies are superb...a day brightener.

Oh those glorious peonies! They are so full of romance and nostalgia...ants and all. They were one of my mum's and grandmum's favorite flowers. And when we were first married and moved in, our neighbor brought us a huge bouquet as if she knew. Later, she gave me several of her plants, but they were removed during WWR, never to be replaced. I do have a couple of white ones, but they aren't the same as the pinks and deep pinks...and mine aren't open yet. Hope you got some answers today at the dr. Chronic, debilitating pain is a weary burden. Your sampler is absolutely gorgeous. ~Robin~

The sampler is truly a sweetheart. I am so glad your borders met! I am lucky if that ever happens. Your peony is so nice, you are correct that the lighter pinks drop petals quickly. I picked some this weekend and the dropping started within an hour or so, very upsetting.

Best of luck with the doc. They seem to be more and more withholding these days. The famous "old lady with a complaint" syndrome is so annoying. Dismissive and condescending. Your 15 minutes must be used wisely.

Hope you got your MRI scan and the doctors visit was a succes.
Your sampler looks lovely.
I love peony's-- my mother had a dark pink one and I got a piece of the plant. With every New home it went with us,but unfortunally I forgot to take it with me the last time.
But there was already a bush here in the garden.
You have to plant it not very deep in the ground otherwise it will hardly get flowers.
Your peony is beautiful!
Take care,Truus from Holland
