Decision time

 Scallop border?

Checkered border?

Changed his brim again, green collar with raisin and gold jacket.

My almost cousin made it through, triple ended up quadruple bypass (Pittsburgh).  They couldn't harvest from her leg, used her arm instead.  Valve surgery was not done and since they had access, I'm assuming it was not necessary once they finished.  She has MS and the physical therapy will be modified to her ability.  But with regular doc visits, EKGs, blood work, how do you jump to quadruple bypass?  That is quite scary.

Looking at this photo, I should put on my big girl pants and do it as charted.  It's different from other borders, and darn cute, but a lot of stitching.

About face

 New eyes, new nose.

Bigger hat brim.

For the collar and jacket .... wild green?  Purple?  Or as is.

The border may be stitched, depends on my mood.  If I am weary, I will do the stars and a simple checkered outline.  This is really nice though.  We'll see.

Haven't pulled a name yet, several anonymous, a few corrected but not all.

The other framed piece is E. Harris 1876, lots of changes, from Quaint Rose Needlearts.  It is not offered, just the small floral from Fragments in Time.

Thoughts are with my almost cousin ( my cousin's cousin) having triple bypass today.

Have a good day.

Progress

Hangers for all, stuffing for two left to do, but the worst is over.

 Fronts,

and backs.
Need to wait on mini poms.

Several more to sew tomorrow.

And Robin, after having issues with the two basic pillows, ain't no way I can promise a finish on Bones!  WTH?  I had linen thread pulled out for sewing guide, Frixion pen marks for curved corners, and I had to pick seams and start over THREE times for each.  Never had as many stitching errors and now simple sewing flops.  I better "straighten up" as mom would say.

Enjoy your day.

No sampler yet

I like Bones from Stacy Nash but know I will have trouble stitching all that black.  Using black linen wouldn't work since the edge of the cat's body would not be defined, but I guess I could use gray floss to outline the cat. So how about black perforated paper?  Not a lot of stitching at all, easy to cut out the shape, black felt glued to the back.  I have Kogut's chart of Santas done on black paper, wonder where that is.

I found this started project, decided to finish it.  I may do the nose in a black triangle.  On 40 count Murky with my conversion to dmc, 976 and 3826.

The nearly dead petunias I cut back to a few inches are still growing, no frost yet to destroy the impatiens.

A good day to scrub the bird feeders.

Hope you're enjoying this weekend of Fall.

2025 Finish #25

 Fragments in Time 2023
Berlin Woolwork

No backstitch, no vertical background, no border, no bottom stitching.  DMC 746 in place of ecru flowers.  We all know I am a lazy stitcher.  I may add the bottom stitching, but not in blue.

This is a 3x3 frame that was on sale at Michael's recently.  On 40 count, it would fit perfectly.  I still may stitch into a mini pillow.
If you would like this tiny chart, let me know in comments and I will pull a name if several.

Have a good weekend.

Wish me luck

Decided to try flat mount for the trio.

I thought the wild fabric would be good for the backs but changed my mind.  It's hard to find black with a mini orange print so I tend to hoard, and this one will be used for the other smalls.  Kogut stars will work fine.
The witch's linen is a rich gold color, but looks much lighter and yellow in pics.

I'm having a difficult time finishing the floral basket.  Two symbols are very similar and I am not efficient at following intricate motifs.  No iPad to play with the stitching programs I've seen, but I can take a photo of the chart and enlarge on the tablet.  I use those static highlighters and move the screen to the row I'm stitching.  At first I would move the marker but that moved the screen too!  I eventually catch on.

My hyaluronic injection (knee) this morning was half the pain of previous times.  This new young man is a dream come true.  I have been with him for a year now and insist on scheduling with him only.  The injections are so much easier, the result is always better, and he is as nice as he is professional.

That's all folks. Enjoy your day.
