From that website listing I showed in the prior post, I found a few of the Tubers I was missing. One of them was the Primitive Stitcher who has been sharing for a few years. I browsed the many videos on her page and watched three that sounded interesting. And then I felt inadequate. Talk about organized! She is lucky to have several great pieces to accommodate supplies and I saw these at the now gone antique mall, never considered a purchase. Damn. The other video of her handmade stitching journals made me want to search for images and construct a few, whether I stitch or not. The journals can be daily life and thoughts and it would be fun to collage images to make them reflect yourself. My cover would be something like this ..
With this on the back....
Her voice is soft and I must increase my laptop volume when watching, but I did enjoy these. Many of the items she features are unknown to stitchers without shops and I learned quite a bit from #50.
Floss Tube #24 stitching journal and floss management
you can skip the first four minutes if you're impatient
Floss Tube #25 fabric storage
Floss Tube #50 A few favorite tools
Pizza tonight. I took a break from pitching and purging for online viewing but now it's time to return to the mess. I think that list and the number of videos within each should keep me occupied until summer.
Have a good week!

One of these days I will have to check out floss tube.
You just crack me up about your journal cover 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the info and links
Marly I love Suzette, The Primitive Stitcher too - she’s one of my favorites. Thank you to Linda above who mentioned my channel (stitchinbythelake) and I would add a couple of others I like to watch. Kathleen’s Trodden Trail is a good one. Kathleen is wonderful and does not just cross stitch but also stunning latch hook rugs and some punch needle. Mary Rose at Stitch Bliss Corner has fascinating information on her channel about designers, artists, etc. if you like the history behind creations. Nicola Parkman (Hands Across the Sea Samplers) as well as several other designers have videos - Cathy Haberman, Beth Twist of Heartstring Samplers, etc. I’ve also found some I like by just putting Flosstube in the YouTube search bar. Be warned it can lead to hours of time gone before you know it. In my defense I do stitch and watch...well stitch and listen and look up occasionally. I’ve made some wonderful friends through this venue. Comments lead to emails lead to phone conversations lead to visits sometimes. Several have become steadfast prayer partners for me. Blessings, Marlene
Suzette/Primitive Stitcher is now selling journals! She has a Facebook page under Primitive Stitcher. Check her out!
Yikes....maybe coming back to blogging wasn’t such a good idea after all... I have banned myself from Pinterest as I go there to look at 1 thing, and next thing I know it’s half a day later and I have no idea what I went there to look at in the first place. Now, I have a feeling that if I even peek at FlossTube, I will have even more serious time management issues LOL. But the idea of seeing other stitchers’ supply storage truly has me intrigued..... Should have read this before I messaged you LOL. Happy Monday! Robin
...and PS....I love your journal cover ideas!!! You crack me up.
Thanks for the suggestions. I have seen just a few of hers. She talks a bit slow for me but very interesting. I am way too disorganized for a journal. I know myself better than to think I would keep it up. I am challenged with Goodreads! Plus my DD is my Goodreads coach!!
