Well that's not going to work

Once again, I am seeing a sort of a honeycomb instead of a straight linen weave.  This has ended projects before, and I don't have an explanation.  Maybe the color throws me off, but it's too difficult to see where the over two is for me.  My needle has chosen the wrong hole too many times and I have very little stitched, so the natural linen will be used for this project.  No sense struggling.  Tried rotating the linen, didn't help.  Looking closely I can figure out the correct hole but needing to do that for every stitch is very time consuming!  And frustrating.

My $3.50 wreaths from HL hung with jute.  Could not find a narrow natural linen or jute ribbon, pretty ribbon is not preferred.

Enjoy your weekend.

Yes, very beautiful spot in your kitchen Marly. It’s such simple beauty but your readers know what goes into your projects, blood sweat tears and frustration! That fabric is most definitely challenging to say the least

That fabric looks very difficult to me. Aging eyes for moi.

Love your wreaths - so pretty. We have decided on a table-top tree...now we just need to get one!

The linen doesn't look like proper stitching linen to me, it looks more like sacking, I am struggling to see where the needle should go too.

I'm seeing a bit of oddness in the weave too. The thick threads go straight, the thin ones look to be at an angle. Is it right? wrong? No idea but I can see how it would throw you off.
Love the simple wreaths.

The fabric would not be my favorite and I think would get tossed in the give away pile. I love the look of your wreaths, Marly. They are classic.

That fabric looks like something not suitable for stitching I think.
