Cover to recover

We had to replace pepper and tomato plants in the garden, and now those are failing.  Again.  My flowers are suffering, mold is seen on the bottom stems, and I decided to attempt a makeshift cover.  All the hanging baskets were moved beneath the plastic, I am hoping they recover and dry out.

Did not have time to do a decent job because the break between showers was short.  It's been the month of May, and now into June.  At the most, five days of six weeks were sunny and dry.  The forecast is for a few nice days the end of the week.  But if there is ANY pop-up or narrow band of showers, guaranteed they will be over us.

I'm a little nervous about my dental visit Tuesday.  Antibiotics have not helped at all, and the lymph glands and entire side of my jaw are involved.  What the heck?

My berry is constructed, ready for a hat.

The disabled vets are coming for Carole's power chair.  High end, raises to eye level, reclines.  It will be very difficult to have that bright yellow chair leave her house.

Stay dry and safe folks.

Your berry looks awesome, Marly. Hope the dentist is able to figure out what the issue is. I do hope your plants make a comeback.

That berry is so pretty and can't wait to see it topped off. That's a wonderful donation you are making it will make such a difference to someone. Hoping you can to the bottom of your dental situation and that your plants get enough sun soon.

I hope your dental visit goes okay today, Marly! I dread going to the dentist and I don't even have the issues you have to deal with. Yes, this rain is just never ending. Our flowers aren't looking good at all and I'm about ready to give up and go buy new ones. Never remember this much rain in April, May and now June... Hope yours can begin to recover. Love that berry and the colors you chose!

Just love your finished berry. The Spring showers have played havoc with
with our plantings, but the hydrangeas this year have really been a bumper
crop of gorgeous blossoms. This has been a saturated season. Hope the
cover device works on your baskets. Bless you for the donation of Carole's chair to the vets...what a profound difference that will make in someone's life (I can see her smiling) Time to get that dental mystery solved and you relieved of those concerns, bless your heart.

That berry is every bit as beautiful as I knew it would be. Your color palette is absolutely amazing. I am hoping (and praying) that your dental visit went ok and you got some answers and some relief. Yikes about the rain. I thought we were soggy - but I can't ever recall having mold on the bottom of plants or covering plants that have drainage. I know my bowl of succulents will never survive but I am not as dedicated as you to attempt to save it. :-( Letting go of Carole's chair must be traumatic. Sending comforting thoughts to you.

Marly, once again your changes to the berry are perfect. I hope you decide to do the blueberry and strawberry companions. I’m sorry it’s been so wet by you and hope you get some sunny days soon. Here in WI it’s been so cloudy and cold and nothing much is growing. I hope you got some positive news at the dentist today. And, as hard as it is to see Carole’s chair go, take comfort in knowing that it will be life-changing for a disabled vet. Have a good week. Cherie in WI

The berry is so pretty - will love seeing your special finish. Good luck with the dentist (I really do not like going). Such a wet Spring. Weird.
