Pay attention

I thought some of the blues looked different.

I pulled the used skein out of the bag for next project, and then used the new skein.  I didn't notice the difference.  Until several flowers were stitched, that is.  More frogging!

I need to check HL to see if I can find the more teal skein, this cool blue 926 does not go with the 920 series.  I hope 924-928 were not changed!

We've had some days in the 70's with cool nights.  Except for two baskets and my impatiens, all else has croaked.  First time ever they did not last into fall.  Visited the Amish mum place to purchase one for my neighbor (just diagnosed) and their calibrachoa and tunias are so full you barely see the green leaves.  Completely covered with vibrant flowers!

Hope the week is going well for you.

My flowers for the most part are doing just okay but they have been totally neglected. I am loving this cool nights and warm sunny days! Wonderful not having the a/c on.

That's quite the difference in colors. Yikes. We went from a beautiful weekend to brrrr.... "highs" in the 50's (sometimes barely) and lows in the low 40's...tonight 37. It's been an odd year for flowers I think. Some of mine are looking quite bedraggled but a few seem to look better than they ever have. And they can be of the same species (i.e., geraniums). Frankly, I'm tired of tending them...and since I'm having well/water issues, I'm ready to throw in the flower towel.

I don't like the color changes with the DMC skeins. You always have to look very carefull if it is the same . Sorry for your frogging.
Take care, Truus from Holland

My two very full hanging baskets completely died! The color changes are frustrating.

Oh dear, has DMC has been playing with the colors again? Crap. I remember quite a kerfluffle 20= years ago on the old text newsgroup about dye formulas being changed. I hadn't heard anything lately. It took a minute and some close looking, but I can see a difference too.

Now the question is which of your flosses is old and which is new and how long ago did it change? If you need an older version of 926, let me know. I have a stash of floss bought at least 7-8 years ago at an estate sale and who knows how long ago that stitcher bought it.

Big difference in color! Let me know if you can't find the teal looking one. I would be happy to look through my stash of DMC.

Hello Marly: I love this design, wow the two are night and day different, I despise frogging, so sorry about your neighbor, I hope they can get the right treatment and recover. My petunias are full and still full color even with the cool nights.
