Hi folks. After two days of sitting in facilities for nephew and brother, I spent today at home. Many of those hours were used for the berry topper, and wasted.
No green looks even slightly appealing with this thread color. I used the gray/green fabric in the previous post, sewn into leaves with wrong sides together. Faint blue pattern, the right side was too strong. But then I tried for the top and am not pleased with the wool stem. I know .... good enough. No it's not.
I'll remove, keep those leaves, add a round cap of the same fabric over the top to hide the center. Love the thread color, but didn't test green with it. Any other monochrome berries or pears in the future will have topper chosen before stitching.
My unnerving palps are constant now. In a few weeks we will have a place that offers PET stress testing. New, no false positives, 3d image of heart. But no treadmill, the medication that makes your heart act as if you ran a marathon. Not fun.
Hope all is well.
Edited to add. I just read the story about the Ross Farm in PA losing all their sheep and lambs to a horrific fire. She also lost her son end of last year. Heritage and rare breed sheep is her wool business from what I understand. My heart will ache for those sweet animals for some time. Visit her website https://www.therossfarm.com/ to donate for rebuilding or to purchase her yarn.

Marly, I LOVE the colors!!!!!!
What you talking about???! I think the berry - top, leaves, stems and all are PERFECT with the floss! What am I not seeing that you are??? (Or vice versa??) Will you be able to get into the new place for testing right away?? Some people worry about you, you know. Wish I had read this post before you edited to include the blip about the sheep/lambs. That breaks my heart. Not too many animals as sweet and precious and sheep...let alone a lamb. 😭
That looks very pretty!

Marly, I like the berry cap (and the stem). Looks great! I hope the new medical place will be able to get you in quickly.
I like the berry so not sure why you do not...but sometimes we are our own worst enemy. Maybe the computer lighting is different than in person. Such a loss and my heart go outs to her with the loss of her sheep. So sad. Janice
As far as I can see the leaves are looking great to the berry floss. But I know sometimes the picture will show other colors than in real live.
Hope the new place will help you very soon.
What a tragic happens to the lady with her barn and loss of her flock....
Take care Marly,Truus from Holland
It's always so frustrating to not find the "perfect" color, isn't it, Marly? But, I know you'll find something that looks wonderful (at least in our eyes--you always do!). So sad about the farm animals... It's been a tough 2026 all around. I hope you get some answers about your palpitations. I deal with them from time to time and they really are unnerving. Take care now and I hope you have a relaxing weekend. ♥
