Hi everyone. This is a short post to let you know that I have put aside Miss Pumroy, and Miss Eunice in favor of Miss Lydia Broome. I couldn't help myself. A first for me too, because I always worked on one project only, recently graduating to two. But THREE!?!
Love is a powerful force. So is that damn frog. I was coming to the finish line and regardless of my count twice efforts, was two down and 1 over. Goodbye tail. That potted plant should have six sets of leaves but if I don't tell anyone, no one will notice. I plan on finishing this before returning to Eunice, if she'll forgive me.
I was making a path putting fabric away and decided to put the homespun checks together. I love checks. Too bad I can't find the black ones.
One more thing. I was very surprised to see that this sampler done long ago on Lugana fabric, coffee stained to the same color as Malabar's linen, expecting only pure linen and cotton to take the stain evenly. Ewe & Eye's Peacock Spot, Malabar, and Lydia would make a nice grouping but I love the frame that Pineberry Lane used and may do that.
It's been a rough week for several reasons, no decision on the kitchen, and I came up with a third layout. Not good. If there was a pill for memory, procrastination and another for decisiveness, I wouldn't be able to choose a pharmacy, then put off getting them ordered, and ultimately forget where they were. I can't swallow pills anyway.
Hello to new followers! Putz that I am didn't even know you could click Followers on the Dashboard and see who they are. I'm finding WAY too many blogs to read but so enjoying them all, and way too many ideas on Pinterest.
Thank you for taking time to stop by. I appreciate your visits!
Have a safe coming week ~ talk to you soon.

Look at Lydia~~ You sure have done alot on her!! And, of course I love the collection of goodies in the large bowl...She would look smart in there also!!
Now, about that pill for memory...LMK when you find one! I need it and I CAN swallow pills...
Have fun multi-tasking with those projects, Faye
Certainly understandable to set all things aside for LB, luvin it way too much, yours is divine ~ thinkin about maybe red, maybe Gingersnap. Have a great week friend:)
Hi Marly, wow, great work. Love the goodies in the bowl also. Blessings Francine.
Oh Lydia is so pretty! Too bad about the frog though. Love those checked fabrics -- gorgeous! Love the pillows too. Pretty! Sorry you've had a rough week. :(
Such pretty finishes for your sweet bowl :) You may have to take a pill for memory and decisiveness, but surely not for crafty goodness! :)
Oh Lydia is lovely. I like this one and also the one that she is based on. Can't remember her name (see a pattern here lol). Love your bowl.
I can certainly use your memory pills. Don't know where mine has gone to. - Sandra.
I'm glad you decided to stitch Lydia now. :) Whether you frame it or add it to your little group it's a sweet design! I'm envious of your homespun check collection. :) I hope the coming week is a better one for you.
Your little pin keeps are wonderful. They compliment each other beautifully.
Linda
Hope the coming week is a better one for you. Love Lydia!
Marly ~
You are always good for a laugh and for that I thank you!
I love Lydia. I really need to put down my hook and do a little cross stitch, but when I'm done, they end up in the unfinished stack ~ sometimes for years!
Hugs :)
Lauren
Another great stop. I think that the heat makes it really hard to settle down to one project or task. That is my excuse anyway. I hope that this upcoming week is better for you :) I am trying to be positive about it before I start a 15 hour work day :)
Marly, a visit with you is always a happy time! You'll get back to Misses Pumroy & Eunice ... not to worry. In the meantime, LTB is such a charming stitch ... no wonder she pulled you away from the others!
Oh-la-la ... I'm envious of your homespun collection ... I've never met a "check" I didn't love!
Have a great week!
I really like Lydia, Marly. Sorry the frog visited you! I've been frogging a lot the last few days too!
Love your pillows!
Hope this week will be kinder to you!
Well they all look grand to me - love them! Hope you get your kitchen worked out soon. I love checks too and have quite a few that I bought when I was doing more quilting. Now I just them for smalls LOL.
I LOVE your Santa's at the top of your blog. I have 3 of the patterns in my stash but can't find the gold Santa. There is one on ebay for $35. No, thanks, too steep for me. I am envious of how fast you finish your projects. I was away from cross stitch for about 15 years when I took up quilting. It has changed a lot. Why is it called frogging?
I really enjoy your blog!

I'm not very good at stitching more than one project at a time so I really admire all of you who can juggle like that! Lydia is off to a great start and it looks like you chased away that darn frog before he did too much damage...
Love your little pillows (of course!) and all those great homespun checks, too! I use a lot of them, myself in my finishing. I did find some black and tan last year, Marly ( I think at Hobby Lobby).
Love Lynda! lol about all the blogs and Pinterest. Can't help but feel overwhelmed by it all sometimes. Love those fabrics!
LOL about love and frogs being a powerful force. Too true! And after all, love is hard. She is quite lovely though.
I think I voted for Eunice but do love your new start. By the way, if you ever find those pills, please keep me in mind!
Beautiful finishes...LOVE them all.
Enjoyed the view - as always !!!
Marly, I don't think there has ever been a piece that you have stitched that isn't gorgeous!! I bought 3 sizes of black/ecru checks at Hobby Lobby at Niles Ohio about a month ago. I've never seen them anywhere else!--Have a happy week!--Jan
Love your bowl...I am particularly in lonve with the pillow on the left... the one that is just the alphabet and numbers... could you tell me the designer of that one so I can go searching please...
Many thanks in advance and I love visiting your blog!
Ahhhh...I'd been cheering for Lydia all along.... She's a beaut. Now if I could only get my Cross Eyed Cat done before I GO cross eyed myself, I could ponder adding another to my dance card..... LOL about the pills. LOVE it. (We always love what we can SO relate to.....) Hurry up on that kitchen project though because I wanna commission you for my kitchen redo. ;o) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
