How are you today? We're hot! I enjoy being outside in the heat because even though my hot flashes have reduced in number, intensity remains. They bother me when I'm in air conditioning, but either I don't have them or don't notice them in 90 degree temps.

The small high density foam rollers. I used them in the foyer and they do leave a texture which I don't want on the cabinets. But it would certainly do the long area quicker than a brush. So I tried, and immediately followed with a wide sponge brush to smooth out the texture and it worked beautifully. Then the roller jammed and wouldn't roll. I tried it anyway and found that it created a perfectly smooth finish when it doesn't roll. Just use a little pressure - I was thrilled. Look how nice they came out!! I have to work on them on the kitchen counter because of my neck/back. Just can't lean over for any length of time. Three large ones were in the new room drying, and the two small and other large were staying on the bar counter. While cleaning the mess in the sink and washing the sponges, I set the hand sprayer back into its fricking hole, but it never shut off. It sprayed me and all three perfectly smooth doors that were drying.
As I stood at the sink debating on which obscenities would be most appropriate, I saw this.
and this.

So I walked out of the kitchen, not even looking at the spots that ruined my work, and scratched a few buddies.
There's always a bright side. The other three large doors weren't affected, and I got hosed down on a hot day.
Find the good in the bad.
Make up a few new cuss words ~
that usually ends in a laugh.
Eat a piece of L'OLakes 4 cheese Italian blend.
Follow with 4 Dove dark with almonds.
Have a good day!
Thanks for visiting.

Always a good sign when the kitty is showing you his/her tummy. Sweet, heartwarming pics of both. Your flowers are beautiful. Have been wanting to redo my kitchen cabinets, I so appreciate you posting photos with your posts.

your flowers looking so lovely and cutie kitty too.

Hopefully the doors dried and were not affected! You did good diverting a possible meltdown!
The pictures of Squeak and Bud are sights for sore eyes.. Looks like Squeak may be gaining some weight.. He looks like a happy kitty..
I used the spray hose on my sink to get my husband many years ago.. He was teasing me, wouldn't leave me alone, so I let him have it. The wall in the kitchen got soaked and he laughed about it..
Thank you for all of the hints you give.
You flowers are beautiful.. The white looks so cool in this hot weather.
Have a marvelous 4th of July weekend..

Glad Missy and Bud lowered your blood pressure.
Your cupboards are going to be wonderful!!!
Send some new cuss words my way. I'm getting tired of the ones I use :)

Always good to look for the good in the bad. Lovely kitties are always good. Your cabinets will be great when they are done!
I love your way of solving annoying problems!Especially the dove candies!
Scratching kitties is approved by the AMA to relieve stress and tension. Good idea to chase it with cheese and dark chocolate. Love the work you are doing on the kitchen.
Oh my, what a day! You always put a smile on my face. Love your cats and flowers.
Murphy's law always seems to find me too. Glad that you were able to step outside and enjoy a little kitty time. Hopefully the water spots didn't mess the cabinet doors too much.
I love seeing your samplers hung on the ladder and the little stools on the bench etc. --- such a pretty vignette. Your cupboards look really great. You do beautiful work. Mouse
Kitty therapy is always recommended in these situations! The good thing is you now have discovered a quick and easy way to apply your top coat, you got a nice cool shower and you have discovered some new swear words .. it's all good!
Your flowers are beautiful Marly.
You have such a knack for beautiful decorating ideas.
Happy 4th July for tomorrow.
Margaret
Oh, so that's what those flowers are called! I have them growing in purple and just love them--so much better than the old-fashioned petunias.
Love how you always manage to stumble upon a great way to finish things, Marly--the cabinets look wonderful. And, I'm with you--there is nothing a bit (or quite a bit!) of chocolate can't cure :)
Enjoy your 4th! We're getting rain here now (much needed), but the weekend forecast looks amazing...
Wait, Land O Lakes makes an Italian cheese????? When did this happen.? Oh ! doors look great too. But back to the cheese , my weakness...To choose between chocolate and a hunk of cheese.....Cheese wins every darn time. Happy Independence Day.....
