Bird bath

Hi everyone.  My bird got a bath.  Some of the original stitches remain, removed all pink, and I think he cleaned up nicely.  I used 3768 that is throughout the piece but the bronze center is barely noticeable.

This was a manipulation in the Paint program that I showed yesterday, and I thought the bright blue in the tail was a little much.  But I'm sure my brain will switch back at some point and may use it anyway.

And as a test, I just paused to manipulate again and added the bright blue to what I stitched.

(sigh)  Looks like another change coming.  But I will use the bronze for the eyespot instead of the lighter blue if it shows.  Or not.  It's a few stitches in a freaking tail!  Snap out of it!!

Had to cancel my eye appointment because of lingering vertigo.  Dilating and spotlighting is painful enough because of extreme sensitivity to light, she said it may make it much worse.  Now I have to wait another eight weeks unless I see a change in vision.

I'll be taking flat bread onion pizza (Nona's recipe), a pastry, and the makings for Gwen's lenten sandwich to Carole tomorrow.  I said before that my aunt had a lunch wagon and her biggest seller during lent was this weird sandwich.  It's one you don't want every day, but I've already had two.  White bread (a must), white American cheese (must be white), finely shredded cole slaw, and sliced hard boiled egg.  Can you imagine?  They loved it, and so do we. Until we tire of it.  It's not the cause, but the flowers on my print leggings have again stretched to become, shrubs.

Have an enjoyable and safe day.

I think my son would love your sandwich. Our neighbor brings us sandwiches with hard boiled egg, pickled beets, chicken and some kind of salad.
Sorry about your having to wait to have your eyes examined.
Beautiful day here, going to 70 on Sunday.
The blue that you chose for your bird is very pretty.
If I changed colors on my stitching, I'd wind up with a mess.
Have a good evening.

Whatever floss colors you use will be just perfect!
Sorry. That sandwich just sounds nasty to me ;-)

I think you've nailed it with the peacock. I liked yesterday's but today's body is perfect. I like the first one you pictured but the last one is even better with the new body and the brighter blue. It ties in the dog a little better than the softer/greyer blue. I think it's perfect.

I remember you mentioning that sandwich and wanting to try it just because it's so weird. It'll be fun to freak out my kids when I tell them what kind of sandwich I'm making them. ;-)

Your peacock is so very handsome either way, although at this very point in time (don't ask again at the end of this post as it may well be different), I do like the bright pop of your latest revision brainchild. That sandwich sounds just wrong...which means it is almost tempting me to actually try it. Does one put any condiments on it?? ~Robin~

Happy to see you didn't have lost your sense of humor! I have to laugh about this-- my flowers are grown into shrubs!!
Your peacock is looking beautiful so just stitch this without thinking of color changes.
Sorry about your eye appointment.
Take care and enjoy the beautiful weather, Truus from Holland
