I had enough 926, thank you for the offers. Will check HL tomorrow but I'm expecting to find that favorite series to be different.
My first fig. A small one, maybe they will all be this size. Sweet, soft, small.
Quite a few on the tree and still more starting.
Going for mums tomorrow (Saturday). It's early for me, but they sell out quickly to all the Fall lovers here. If I find more later in the season, I'll get another.
Starting to rehash last September when it all started with covid. My yearly lung CT scan was missed last year, anxiety about that too. Next week. I don't know if I mentioned that my new cardiologist (seen once), is leaving. I guess I have to go back to my previous. This test was first ordered in January, and between inept staff and long wait times, then new doctor and her hospital's wait time for testing, it's been a real ride.
Hope your weekend has a good start.

The pear in that stitched piece Marly is gorgeous. Actually, the entire piece is just so lovely. And a ripe, delicious fig. YAY. None of ours are ripening yet...I hope they do.
Beautiful finish, Marly! I am sorry about your new cardiologist leaving.
I really like the border changes you made. Especially switching to the darker blue. Lovely finish! I hope you get the cardiology stuff straightened out soon.
Marly, your sampler turned out so pretty. I always liked that series of blues, too, so it’s disappointing if the colors have changed. I’m sorry that the healthcare system seems so poor by you. Good luck with your test. I went for mums yesterday because the greenhouse I go to has them for $5.50 and they’re huge. So they go quickly! Way too early for me, too! Have a good weekend! Beautiful finish!
You have more problems with your healthcare providers than anyone should have. Here's hoping your care improves.
No mums for me yet. There is an outdoor show in a couple weeks that always has beautiful mums. I will get one or two at that time.
That stitch turned out beautifully - and you really got it done quickly even with the myriad color changes in the design. No mums for me yet....I always try to hold off as long as possible otherwise they are all spent by the time fall actually gets here. However, that is like playing a game of chicken here. Either they are sold out or they freeze out. Seeing as we've already had frost this past week, my money is on the freeze-out. I can't believe how horrible your health care is there. Things aren't great here in Nod (and, actually, the clinic I've always gone to is phasing all their services out, one by one, and transferring them to another facility adding another 20 minutes commute time) but they are definitely better than what you apparently have. I went in for my annual exam with my PCP mid-August and always walk away with 3 or 4 more appts it seems. One is always the lung ct scan. It was scheduled when I left my pcp's office, and completed last week...just waiting for the results. Waiting since January is just crazy!!
Marly, your finish is Outstanding! you always amaze me with the speed of your work and how beautiful it turns out. I think this piece is my favorite that you have completed. Gorgeous!
Marly your finish is beautiful-- it will be a pindrum or...
I always wait with buying mums till my Birthday in a few weeks, but this time a few weeks ago I was in the gardencentre and saw a beautiful dark red color so I fel in love with this color and it is already in my garden. Do hope it will stay till next year and will be back with the same dark color-- fingers crossed!
Good luck with the cardiologist
Take care,TruusfromHolland.
Congratulations on your latest finish, Marly--it looks gorgeous! And you seemed to whip through that one quite quickly. And figs!! How exciting. I wish my husband would try his hand at growing them--he absolutely loves them. You are smart to look for mums now. I've seen them everywhere, but none look as nice as the ones you seem to find each fall. Hope your old cardiologist works out for you. I'm back to dealing with my shortness of breath stuff again. Seeing my cardiologist in January. Always something in your 70's, isn't it?
