When a comment on Instagram asked about thread colors, I compared the chart to the photo before answering. And ... saw that the house trim was not stitched to the bottom.
A relatively easy fix.
When I worked for a framer mounting needlework, first rule was to check the piece thoroughly for missing stitches. It surprised me to see some framed pieces online that were not caught. I notified the customer about any possible omissions before framing. Missing a few of my own on finished pillows, I went back and using the sewing method added the missing. But I should inspect my own work before assembling!
Whew.
Mouth is quite miserable, root canal was back molar and my jaw is terribly sore from the shots and the work. Numbness caused me to take a bite out of my tongue, that's worse! That molar and another tooth became the anchors to a permanent bridge. I'm hearing about too many people having failures of their implant, especially the bridge type of several teeth. This was much less $$, and much less prone to revision. It's over, and I'm glad it is. But there's more work to be done.
Getting old is not for sissies as they say. When I tell someone my age, I am shocked to hear it out loud!

Your fix looks great and the piece turned out lovely! I agree getting older is not for sissies! So sorry to hear about all your teeth and mouth issues. I'm going thru eczema issues that I have never had before. Every day a new itchy spot pops up. This has been going on for about 5 - 6 months and it is affecting my sleep which I just realized. When I say my age out loud it freaks me out too!
Great fix, Marly! In less than two weeks, I’ll be entering the next decade and the thought of it is freaking me out, too! In my mind, I’m going to be 50 but my body is telling me a lot different! I hope your mouth feels better as the day goes on. Cherie in WI
I always wonder how I got to be so old!!! I am just barely behind you ;-(
Getting old is not for sissies is my go-to mantra.
Hopefully the mouth will feel better soon.
Growing old is definitely not for sissies. But, as my Dad always said, the alternative is not so great! Surprising how many charts are missing things or just not correct at all. Frustrating.
So sorry for your mouth/teeth problems! Iam glad mine are all gone and no dentist problems any more..no teeth problems....
Didn't see that there were stitches missing, but you did solve that.
Take care, Truus from Holland
So glad you were able to insert the missing stitches without too much of a problem, Marly! I've found that taking a photo of my finished stitching (before I actually finish it into a pillow, etc) usually helps me spot the missing stitches. Not always, but :) Glad the dental work is over for a bit--I need a crown put in in January and am already dreading it! I do think that once you pass the 70 mark, everything begins falling apart at a faster rate. Definitely not fun.
Glad you found your mistake. I just found one in the one I am doing. Forgot to do the one half of my cross stitch. Had to go back in and fix before moving on. Janice
Glad you caught it. Hmmm…makes me think that is a great excuse to use professional framing vs. self-framing. …Oh, NM…Hobby Lobby wouldn’t know if 1001 stitches were missing. I can relate to your mouth pain. A few weeks back I had back-to-back procedures. First day was simply filling a cavity…EXCEPT it was on the second-to-the-back tooth, on the lingual side, right on the gum line…and I have a very despite small mouth (despite what some others may say). It was excruciating…My tongue was twisted and pulled and the next day my entire throat was sore, closed up and my lymph nodes swollen. Then I had to go back for a crown on the other side. ARGH.
