2026 Finish #12

Stacy Nash Red Hydrangea pin disk.

All color changes on 40 count PTP Ale with dmc.

Floral shading reversed.

Floral ... 472, 772, white
Vase ... 3802/ 3045

This one was easy.

Since the flower color changed, should the vase?

Yep.

The blue was nice but the deep raspberry popped.  Fabric to match.

May construct this very simple piece for outdoors.

A piece of wood, a spigot, and a bracket to hold a bucket.  From the folder of torn pages.

Enjoy the weekend.

Big and Easy

First ... stitching.  Increased the top row of petals on the Hydrangea and I'm good.  Tried three shades of blue and it would be gorgeous, but it's time to put the big cotton gutchies on and quit fooling around.

Now about that Big Easy.  I don't have a covered porch, am disgusted with the cedar furniture (2 swings and chair) rotting, other metal furniture rusting, and seating so low and small I can't get out or add a cushion.

Ta-da!
Meet the Big Easy from Adams.

High enough to easily get up.
Wide enough for larger folk (up to 350#)
Deep enough for leg comfort.
Curved back support.
Plenty of room for cushions if desired.
Cup and phone holder swings out.
No rust.
No rot.
 CHEAP.
Sturdy and amazingly comfortable for a resin chair.

I'm really pleased.  Lowes and many others have them (less than $40) along with matching Adirondack that are very low.  I wanted black, found them online available to ship to local Ace and Tru Value.   I also ordered the square matching tables.
This is the gray from Lowes.
Finally!!!  No more struggling to get up and couldn't be easier to take care of.
Just thought I'd pass this stackable along if you need a safer, sturdy, no maintenance  chair. Unless you are quite petite!

Happy day to you!!

Recycling

Done it before, don't mind recycling Primitive Place.  But Early Homes?

Maybe create a folder with pages I want to keep.

It was one of the best for colonial style.

But I'm looking to simplify, still house searching, still love that style.

What are you doing today?

Behave!

New to me

I miss quite a few popular designs, only browse IG and online shops which can't show all.  One was this magnificent work from Twin Peak Primitives.  One of the twin sisters recently passed away.  Not something I could attempt but many of the larger patriotic pieces have been really impressive.

And this adorable snowman.
Wings could be stained wood or metal, or made into a drum or tuck.  Cute.

I fiinished the Hydrangea and am undecided whether to continue.  I reversed the petal outline, my Annabelles are dark to light, not light to dark as the chart.  Since the other pin disks will be pinks/reds, I wanted something different.  Blue hydrangea!  That would work light to dark.  Damn.

I was asked for the threads used in the Irish pincushion.  Here they are from my gifted floss change journal which is so very helpful (Debbie Dee book).
Vine -3053
Leaves -3052
Gray -646
Lt. Pink -3778
Dark pink -355
Gold -680

Working outside today, knee brace is great help.

Hope you have a great day.

This is a test

of the frequently changing stitching system.  Had this been an actual decision, this post would have been followed by official news of my intentions.  Since it is just a test, no final information is available.

My Annabelle hydrangeas are green and white.
But this is just a test.
