Happy Anniversary to me

and Happy Valentine's Day to you all!  I want to thank everyone for participating in the Prairie Schooler offer and Shar seems happy to be the winner.  She doesn't have any Schooler Santas so I hope she enjoys stitching these designs.
You know those lovely sweet women that call you honey and hug frequently, laughing and joyous, warm and open, caring to all, a joy to be around?   That's not me.   I wish it were, but it's not.   I admire and envy them.  So if I don't say it enough, please forgive me.  But when I say that I am touched by all of you, taking your time to visit here, to offer help, or just a hello, I mean it sincerely.  This last year, as I mentioned before, has tremendously helped me to move on, has motivated me, and continues to do so.  I'm amazed and very appreciative as followers continue to join.  I mentioned before about disturbing happenings, and my mind isn't focused right now.  There have been many dogs stolen (bait for dog fights), some horrific dog abuse in a neighboring area, and an unexpected botched surgery that is taking my sister's dear friend very quickly.   So you will be making the decision for me, by choosing the shop for the offer.   I will purchase a $30 gift certificate at one of the following online shops in your name if you win.  I chose these because of the accessories offered, linens, thread variety, and dookies (little goodies).  You can browse and decide which shop has what you would like, offers the best discount, and let me know your choice.   Just in case my fogged mind is not stating this clearly enough - the winner will receive a $30 gift from ONE shop of their choice.   I plan on adding a few other items also, and will hopefully have them ready soon.    Here are the options.....
The Silver Needle
Down Sunshine Lane
Anita's Little Stitches
ABC Stitch Therapy
Elegant Stitch
The Cottage Lane
123 Stitch
Blogger is not allowing me to preview this post, and all my pages are blank, including your blogs.  So hopefully it will appear at some point.  This is the post where you need to leave a comment to be included in the anniversary offer.  If there is a problem with it,  I will redo tomorrow or whenever Google cooperates.  The drawing will be held next Wednesday the 22nd, and I will post before then with a reminder and anything else that I add.  Do not leave your shop choice in the comments - if you win, you can make the decision then.
Have a great week - thank you so much for visiting - and good luck!

I am so hoping this year will be a sweeter year for you. Losing one's mom is truly heartbreaking and I am sure only time will help each day get easier for you. I have enjoyed seeing all your beautiful pieces that you have stitched and hopefully will continue to stitch. Happy Anniversary to you!

As I was reading this post I thought I was reading about myself! I too am not the sweet lovey type. I do try to be but as you say, it's just not me. I ride along on my husbands trails because EVERYBODY loves him! He can get along with ANYBODY!

I won't take part in this very generous giveaway because I was the lucky recipient of a recent giveaway of yours.

Oh dear Marly, I hope everything is OK...so sorry to hear about that stuff going on around you....my heart goes out to you. I just called animal control on a neighbor across the street when I saw a beautiful boxer tied up in their driveway in the back, on about a two foot rope! :-( I had the immediate thought that we needed to move if animals around us are being mistreated by our own neighbors!!! But sadly, some people treat their animals like crap :-( We never, ever leave our pugs outside by themselves (even in the fenced in yard), because sadly, pugs are often stolen for bait. Makes me sick.
Oh dear. Well, I love your posts and am glad you took up stitching again. You always make me smile.
Happy Valentine's Day and blog anniversary :-)
xoxo
PS. I used to not be the huggy type either, but have gotten that way the older I get...I also tell people, even ones that aren't family, that I love them, which is probably disturbing to some folks, but life is short and I'd rather tell people while it's possible ;-)

It never fails to amaze me how some people can manage to be so cruel to helpless animals, but it is an unfortunate reality. Sorry to hear of the troubles you are dealing with, but you bring a bright spot to anyone reading for your blog...so many beautiful things. This is a very generous giveaway and I would love to be entered for a chance.

Happy anniversary and a belated happy valentine's day! Sorry to hear about the goings on there. Botched surgery--I am so sorry. It must be horrible to hear of the agony that your sister's friend is going through. The animal cruelty is just too disturbing--I can't get over how some people treat animals.

I'm laughing at the term 'dookies' for little goodies--in our family, what we call dookies definitely aren't of the good variety! LOL

What an awful thing to happen to the dogs in your area. I own an English Staffordshire and they are sometimes stolen to be trained up to fight. My boy is a big softie and when he was younger I was terrified he would be taken to be used this way. They treat them soo badly.
Please include me in your very generous giveaway.
Thank you
