No way to know what the next string will be! I prefer the lighter for garland, but I'm pleased with the results of both.
I guess green is not always green, but a bean is always a bean. You have my permission to quote me on that.
So there you have it. Leather britches and I still have no idea why they were called that back in the day. They may feel leathery but they don't look like britches.
That's all folks! Just showing off my beans.

You, my dear, are full of beans! Love the leather britches in both colours and I shall indeed, quote you on that :O) Deb
Love them britches, and may have to try to dry out a few of my own!
You made me curious enough about the name to look it up online. One version says they were hung to dry on the back porch where britches were also hung (one couldn't hang their britches on the front porch where they could be seen - horrors!) , plus they take on a dried and leathery look. Here's where I got the information; it's really an interesting article.

I read the article about the "Leather britches".. It was most interesting and heartwarming.
I like both shades of your strings of beans. They will be a great addition to your Prim home.

I love these, but I, too, wonder - why the difference in color and drying. No matter, they look great !
