Greetings! Hope you are all having a good day. In the last few days, I've consumed 2 entire bags of Mounds and 1 bag of Reese cups. By the time the little brats come knocking on my door, I won't have any left. With the additional hot flashes brought on by the chocolate, I am also experiencing sugar flashes. I can't sit still. I have crap everywhere because I've started so many things and haven't finished one.

But I accomplished something!!! I have so many things that need done in my mess but I left them to try stitching. Holding a needle still while your sugar rush is affecting your hands - not happening. Why am I such a pig? It's like I have so much energy yet I'm tired and things to do but I'm not and stuff everywhere but I can't find anything yet I want to do chores and can't decide which but if I did would I finish it or move on to something else because I can't concentrate and how come everything is so slow but I'm so fast and who turned the heat up...wait...did I let the cats in...better not have because the barriers aren't up and they will be upstairs roaming and I'll bet that's where I left my camera when I went to use the bathroom but I ended up distracted which is another reason why I can't sit still so I'll go now.
Then I'll going outside to blow the leaves and something tells me it will be in record time.
Enjoy your day!

Well! And I thought there was such a thing as "Never enough chocolate"!
Your recent finishes are beauties.
lol! I can relate! Halloween seems to enhance the chocolate cravings too... The sampler boxes look fabulous! Lucky are the folks that get one!
Your sampler boxes turned out great! Sorry you are dealing with both sugar and hot flashes.

PS Who designed the Chloe Lincoln sampler in your header? I've been meaning to ask, but forget.
Wow it's looking so beautiful...
Sending you hugs x
Hi Marly, oh love those sampler boxes, looks beautiful, Blessings Francine.
Love the boxes!! Love your blog. Come follow me on mine too. Nice to make new stitchy friends.
This is really scary but I totally kept up with and understood every thing you said, sounds like my days lately. Can't wait for things to slow down and get themselves back into some kind of order! LOLYour boxes are fantabulous!
Chocolate exacerbates the hot flashes?! You are joking, right? Right?!!
Oh Marly.... you sound so much like me!! There were Halloweens (and Easters!) where I'd have to run out to buy more candy 2-3 times b/c I'd eat it all!! I have such a sweet tooth... STILL! I thought by this age (59) it would be gone! No such luck.... I don't get terribly affected by the sugar rush.... but I sure can lay down and nap after a fistful (or 2) of the delicious stuff!!
The sampler boxes are great.... lucky recipients!!
Marly,
I bought Halloween candy today...I didn't buy any stuff I really like (Butterfingers, Snickers) because I, too, would eat them all. The stuff I did buy - I tied the bag shut and took it to the basement.
Anywho...loved the post.
Hugs :)

OMGoodness! loved this and can totally relate! I have stopped buying lollies (candy in your world)and goodies like choccy biscuits because I live on my own, so I am the only one who would eat them....that being said I often find myself ratting through the pantry trying to find a long forgotten / hidden treat....the good thing about that is I often forget what I am looking for and end up just walking out with a dazed expression and find something else to do....
My word, I thought I was reading something that I had written. LOL I get so distracted and my mind is going a bazillion miles a minute with things I WANT to do and things I NEED to do, and since I can't decide, I just play Candy Crush on the computer. *sigh* I wonder if it's my age? Thank you for the laugh, as always. I love that I can relate to you 100 percent. ;)
Beautiful boxes! I'm trying so so hard not to open the Halloween candy. I know once it's open I wouldn't be able to stop eating. lol!
You mean I am not going nuts!!! LOL. I have a stash of chocolate chips in the freezer for when I eat all the other chocolate in the house...that and coffee. My husband states it is necessary for his peace. LOL
Love the boxes and finding your blog. It is always a light bulb moment when I see how other stitchers finish their work.
blessings, jill
Beautiful boxes. If I can work up just a little courage, I buy nasty candy that only kids will eat! Things like sweet tarts!
I know the feeling! I just stop eating sugar things and try to avoid all kinds of sweets! Always difficult when there are other people in the house that want them! But just take time for yourself and I hope the flahes will go away soon! Hugs

P.S. Love the boxes!
You make me laugh , I have been there done that .
My bucket of treats is getting lower every day.
I can't even walk around my craft room at the moment with every thing every where .
I think its cool to have every thing every where ha .
So happy l am not on my own.
Love your boxes they look great.
Better go get some more candy before the tricker treaters show up. You need to buy a type of candy that you don't like. The boxes are lovely :)
Your sampler boxes are "over the top" lovely.
I love my chocolate first thing in the morning with my coffee !
Starting the day right !

The boxes are gorgeous my friend : ) Ah, chocolate. I haven't eaten any in 5 months. I'm 52 pounds thinner. Don't know if I'm any happier though : )
Are you talking from your brain or mine? ...jan
Lovely boxes! Hmmm now you've got me thinking I should sneak out to the refrig in the garage and steal some of the Halloween candy.......I could use a Reese's peanut butter cup or an Almond Joy right now!
oh my!
I feel your pain! Having chocolate in the house is just toooo tempting! Keep a needle in your hand at all times. You can't grab chocolate with a needle in your hand, right? Mary A
Those are beautiful sampler boxes!
I bought candy weeks and weeks ago and did not open it for so long. And then last week I caved and made up for lost time. Pitiful! Love the boxes!

OK girl...settle down...stop...breath...life will return to normal after you stop the chocolate binge...hint...2 fish oil caps a day will keep the hot flashes at bay...it works...try it...susan
Opps...that's 2 pharmaceutical grade fish oil caps twice a day...I do this and am ever so thankful someone passed this knowledge onto me...my life has returned to normal.
Flaxseed oil gives the same benefit, without any fish after/before/during taste! But... email me for other ideas... You NEED to! We did better this year--only got candy corn to eat (though we DID fill the bowl three times!)... Love the new boxes as expected! Hugs!
Your sampler boxes are beautiful.
I have a sweet tooth also. It's safer not to have any chocolate in the house!
