Thank you

Wow.  The personal emails I received really touched me.  How thoughtful of you to take the time to let me know how you feel.  I don't count readers by comments left, but by the stats on the dashboard, and I also noticed many of my favorite blogs aren't posting as often.  But it's spring, season changes bring on additional chores and we're all more busy.  Blogging is also a record for me since I lose everything.  All I have to do is enter a chart name or subject in the top left box and I can search the entire blog.  Results are easily found instead of looking through paper files that are not where they should be. I do this on your blogs too to find older projects and info.

The last nine months of anxiety have been tough, but I also came home from Cleveland to learn that my sweet and wonderful friend has entered hospice.  I wasn't expecting that and needless to say, I think about her all the time.

Physically, I've been sick from something I ate that doesn't want to leave.  Nothing serious, just keeping me from doing things and going out.  Until it's completely gone, we're not lighting any candles or matches for fear of an explosion.  Mark is looking for a sign like this for the bathroom door.  Better today finally but it doesn't always last.

I started Sally last night on 28 count unbleached.  My 30 is lighter and the floss colors were not good, plus I want to use up the rolls of 28.  So I have a piece of 28 x 30 linen on my lap, a rice heating pad balanced on a spot of my back, my surgery foot elevated on a pillow, and a heavy cotton lap throw because of chills.  Bud will not stay away.  He comes out of nowhere, a fat black ball of fur with muddy white paws scaring the hell out of me, lands on the linen, the floss, the rice pack slips out, the pillow under my foot moves, and I have to start all over again after I remove his claws from the layers on my lap.  It's a slow process and getting pretty annoying.  At the same time, Missy and Nit know that Bud hurdled the barrier and they follow.  One runs upstairs, the other in mom's old rooms, and I have to get up and search for them.  By the time I get positioned and put all the layers back and grab that huge piece of linen, I have to pee.  Here we go again.

Just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your kind words and compliments.  You made my day and I thank you.

Oh gosh you are undoubtedly in cahoots with the Morton Salt Girl...when it rains it pours...I am so sorry to read of your stomach ailment now. You have been through the wringer. I think about you often although I don't know you "personally" I've read your blog for what seems like years and I've admired you the entire time and it hurts me when my "friends" hurt. I hope that you feel better soon! :)
It is so true many Bloggers no longer blog frequently. I know I come and go in spurts myself, not that you are looking for a blog post from me! HA! It seems that many of the "popular" blogs no longer blog at all, have removed their blogs are have turned tail and run. Sad. As I've come to love many a good needleworker in this world by reading their blog.

Oh boy, you are a true trooper. Have not had much time to comment. Being retired does not mean that time 'flies' ... it means I move a lot slower and it just takes longer to get where I am going. What fun! Wishing you a speedier recovery.

Peace to all as always,
Barb

You have really had a rough time. I was so sorry to hear about your friend. I blog less because I have been stitching bigger things. The other thing I do on my blog is share pictures of my garden or trips. It is kind of like a diary for me.

I hope that you are feeling better soon; it is just not fun to do anything when you don't feel well. Sometimes that is when I pull out some of my patterns, magazines, and books to look at projects; something about that can be relaxing and comforting. Don't put too many "have to's" on yourself right now. Just pamper you! I hope you won't give up on blogging; it is still my favorite way of reading and connecting to other stitchers. Blessings to you............

So sad to hear about your friend is in the hospice.
Love your bucket with the big yellow flowers-like a big Sunshine!
In this way with the cats on your lap or going to look where they are-they cannot say you do not move and are sitting all day in your chair!
Take care hoping you feel much better soon.

You are a sweetheart, Marly. Your personality always shows through -- the crabbiness hides a big heart and a sweet person. (Welcome to the world of big samplers. :D)

Your post makes me smile. Boy, can I ever identify with the disruptive cats!! I struggle with ours when I sit to stitch. They think I have to stop what I'm doing to sit and admire them. Maddening. I love them but, jeesh.

Oh Marly, I'm sorry to read about your friend . . . no words.
I've had a stomach bug this week too, it's awful! If your husband finds one of those signs, please pass along the info. You are so good about that.
Please take care, Lancy

Hi Marly-I can totally relate to 9 months of pure anxiety. Been having it myself but there is light at the end of the tunnel and more importantly light unto our path in getting there, so with that said I so enjoy your post and truly hope that you don't let the actions or lack of by other bloggers stop you from posting. We all have "stuff" to deal with and you allow us to 1. escape for a moment and 2. pray for your as well.

Have a super weekend!

I miss you and hope that you are feeling better and have some time to enjoy some glorious spring weather. I hope that the bad storms that rolled through on Thursday didn't bother you.
I am sorry that you are in a stitching slump. I understand about putting things up or feeling differently about your stitching.
How exciting that the house project is almost finished. It must be gorgeous!

So sorry you've been feeling under the weather and hope it clears up quickly!
I am so behind in reading blogs (Easter took over for a while--I'm a church musician!) Anyway, I have enjoyed your blog tremendously, way before I started my own. I don't even look at the numbers or comments on mine, because I don't think I get that many. But I know that you have more readers than you realize! Hang in there--we're all cheering for you and your family. And those precious kitties that are so adorable!
Personally, my 2015 hasn't been the greatest of years so far, but it just has to get better!!! Somehow!! It's just one of those times.....
And thank your for your wonderful sense of humor that's so easy to relate to!

Gosh, Marly--it just seems like one thing after another for you lately. I do hope you're feeling better by now and that you don't pass it on to Mark (I guess you won't if it is really something you ate!).

I'm so sorry to read about your friend--having been through the same thing with several friends, I understand how it tears at your heart to see them fail.

Hope your Sally stitching is helping take away some of the stress--that is when Bud is cooperating :)
