Eureka. A powerful vacuum cleaner, a city in California and Missouri, a SyFy series, and my scream of the day. Another gallon, another day, this time close enough. I think I have finally achieved what I call a charcoal brown. Not reddish not greenish not taupey not orangey not saturated, just a dark yet soft shade of gray in the shade and brown in the sun.
The trim and windows are waiting, the door is ordered, the stain is finally chosen, last step is having them match a flat exterior paint to it for windows and garage doors. Tints are not the same for stain as they are for paint but I am assured the tweaking will not be complicated. The contractor is coming this week to check what lumber is required and we're off to the races.

Hope your week goes well!
Thanks for visiting.

I've been in my closet, moving winter/fall to spring/summer..........from one side of my closet to the other.
I'm hoping that spring is here for good now. Supposed to be nice next week...70s.
I like you stain color. I know you'll be happy when it's all finished.
The deer is precious.
Sorry about your shoulder !

Hooray for charcoal brown. The doe looks pettable all shaggy like that. I am concerned that your shoulder issue just keeps going on and on and on without improvement.
Whatever you call it, I *like* the color! It's going to look great!
Weather and clothes - yeesh. I have no idea what to put on these mornings. Today was 72 and a week ago it was snowing. Crazy.
Love the color. Sure it will look great!
The color is looking great.
Hi Marly: I had to laugh about your last post, giggles and more giggles I have been beyond the crabby myself.
I am loving your new color of gray it is beautiful, I hope all comes together perfectly.
I do hope you show us a finished painted home with new windows when you are done.
Poor dear we have the same thing going on here with our deer.
Blessings
Catherine
Beautiful color and do hope all will go smoothly now.
Do hope you will find a solution for your shoulder.
Have a great day
Greetings Truus from Holland
Love your color choice. Can't wait to see the finished house! Down here in Texas we have been in crop pants for a month already. Sitting on the deck with a yard full of wildflowers and feeders full of humming birds. YeeHaw!
I'm sure your house will be just perfect!
Yay... you are getting there!! Persistence pays off! I have been going through my clothes, and eliminating lots of clothes from work... Why keep them? I am a jeans and tops person now! But... I need more in-between tops, for not-freezing days but not-sweltering-hot days...Always searching! Hugs!
