Some people believe events happen in threes, especially deaths. That has always been the case with our very small family. The last three were my sister in law, mother, and mother in law within a month. Before that is was Aunt Kay, my father, and Aunt Sugar within 6 months.
My only remaining aunt passed away early Thursday morning. Although her passing was unexpected, it was peaceful and without illness or suffering which is a blessing, and for that everyone is grateful. We are all devastated at losing her and the last family member of that generation. Now my sister is the oldest, my brother second. As you can imagine, everyone is remembering the losses that came in threes. And the odd fact of the threes, is that the first was always unexpected, in their sleep, as was this. She was my mom's youngest sister, who at 92 did not have a bag or wrinkle on her sweet face, but always a smile. I can't believe she is gone.
We made the trip to pick up our gallon of stain that afternoon, and just missed being in a dangerous situation. On the route we traveled, a suspected drive by shooter was being followed by police when the suspect started shooting out his back window into the police cruiser. State police got involved and the person attempting to kill the officer died at the hospital after a shoot out. Ten minutes earlier we were at that location.
It will snow again tonight, and really, does it matter?

My condoleance with the passing of your ant.
There was an angel with you on your way to the store.
Good to hear that Carole is much better now and perhaps the new dresses you bought for her did the trick.
Stay safe and a good weekend
Greetings

So very sorry for your loss. Praying that the threes stay away and all stay well. Glad you are safe and sound.
Hugs,
Rose
I am sorry for your loss... I find it very interesting, because I just found out on Friday that my last Aunt had passed away also. She was 95. We have only ever had 5 cousins, so my brother is now second eldest. Hope that Carole is on the mend still. Hugs!
I am so sorry for the loss of your aunt and so thankful you were safe from the shoot out...sending hugs
Marly, my deepest sympathy on your Aunt's passing. I still have one Aunt on my Mother's side and one Uncle on my Father's side. I do not want to think of the day when they are both gone it will be like a piece of my Mother and father are gone forever. Glad you missed being on that intersection, that was luck.
Marly, I am so sorry to learn of the loss of your aunt. May she rest in the sweetest peace.
Scary about the shooting situation.....you just never know what may be around the corner. Glad you made it to the store and back safely.
Thoughts and prayers for you and yours.
So sorry to hear about your aunt. In the last few weeks, I've known 3 people die of cancer and they ranged in age from 62 - 47. My cousin, who is only 68, lost his wife 10 years ago, son 4 years ago and 47 year old daughter this week. How much can a person take? So sad. I am thankful for each and every day.
Happy that your are safe.
Your Aunt sounds like a lovely woman. She lived a long life. I am sorry she is no longer with you Marly.
So sorry for your loss of your Aunt. Prayers to you and your family.
So sorry to hear of your Aunt's passing. Sounds as if she was a truly beautiful person and as they say, the best we can hope for is to die in our sleep. Sending prayers for your family and a thank you to God for keeping you safe. Too many nuts in this world!

Sorry for your loss. Glad to hear you guys are ok.
I am so sorry for your loss Marley! Thank god you didn`t leave the house 10 mins earlier! I too have had things like that happen, including accidents and shootings, just missing them by minutes. I do believe in guardian angels. xo
What an endearing description of your Aunt by a loving Niece.. She gave you the gift
of beautiful memories ...condolences and thank you for sharing. Whew... your Guardian Angel was with you on that highway...so glad you were safe.... and that you got the paint you wanted.
Very sorry for your loss. I have two aunts left from the older generation but I'm only in contact with one, my late mom's sister-in-law. And the only non-smoker of that generation. She took up knitting after my uncle died and I think she's actually enjoying her later years. I can only hope I live so long with her health and attitude. Be well (and stay safe!)
Adding my condolences, Marly. A peaceful passing and fond memories are blessings.Take care.
You and your family have my deepest condolences.
Hugs, Sandy
I am sorry for the loss of your Aunt. Let's hope the three thing is not going to happen this time. Very glad you are safe. I guess that proves that a simple trip can turn dangerous!
Φίλη μου λυπάμαι και καταλαβαίνω, κάθε χαμός ένα κενό στη ζωή μας.
Marly, so very sorry for the loss of your Aunt. Thoughts and prayers to all in your family. So very grateful that you were not affected by the shooting in the area.
I'm so sorry for your loss Marly.
It's especially hard when the last of a generation passes. Everyone moves up and that's scary. I'll be thinking of you.
Thinking of you and sending my deepest sympathy.
So glad you were not involved in the shooting. We just never know about those
happenings anymore. Sad
Take care.

It’s comforting to the family when a loved one passes peacefully. My Condolences to you. I sure am glad this “Spring” didn’t happen last year or I may have regretted moving back! Enough!!! 😖. I watched the news coverage of that shooting. Wonder if it was a suicide by cop?
Dear Marly, Sending you and your family my sincere condolences over the loss of your much loved aunt. Shivers ran down my spine as I read your post. I am so relieved to read that you and Mark were not involved in the incident. It's so awful to read such events happening so close to home. Bless you for taking such wonderful care of your sister, brother, nephew and still finding time to take care of the beautiful deer. I hope you and Mark, your sister, brother and nephew are all feeling better. Take care talented lady. I am looking forward to reading about the home renovations. SAH
I am thankful you and your husband were not there at the time. Saying a prayer that the shooter’s death is number two of the threes that do seem to occur. Glad you are safe and accepting the snow will surely surely bless you.
Good Saturday evening Marly
I'm so sorry for your losses - expected/unexpected - it's never is easy to hear or accept.
I guess things do come in three's - heard that my whole life and it seems to play out in many situations.
Wow...such things happening that could have put you in a bad situation!!!Glad it didn't.
Blessings
Karen

Hi Marly: So sorry about your Aunt, my Mother knew four days before she died that she was going to die on Friday, so sad.
I love both of those yellows, loving the blue fabric.
