I just ordered this linen and it was in my box today. My first Picture This Plus and I must say, it's gorgeous. I was never thrilled with variegated or mottled linen but this is just so wonderful that I have changed my mind. My only issue is the color. I thought PTP Legacy was greenish and Heartland was pretty neutral. Nope. The Legacy looks more of a brown and the Heartland is quite green.
I do not imagine that any linen dyed like this should be dampened or wet, so dipping the green in a smidge of red to tone it down would be wasting/ruining the entire piece. It's still a beautiful fabric and I have to learn to deal with my color phobia about undertones. I'm happy to have a piece of each! I've had major differences in R&R 18th Century line, hoping PTP runs fairly true to prior dye lots.
No projects chosen for either, I just wanted to own a little bit of these popular colors. Will definitely check into another order for additional colors.
Have a good day.

Marly: you should research sprays that can be sprayed on fabric for color, I have seen in the past where people have watered down sherry juice and sprayed the fabric, it was lovely, maybe try a small piece.
I hope all is well with you and Carole and family, the deaths are slowing down her in Minnesota finally.
Have a great week.

PTP is not only nice to look at, but awesome to stitch on as well! I had been watching a floss tube (can't remember which one, sorry)...and they (the flosstuber) mentioned that there could be color variations between pieces depending on the count (as well as dye lots)...
Congratulation, PTP ( zweigart based) is beautiful fabric. I agree colors can look different, that is why I have a stash to pick from. I do not have a LNS to actually look at fabric, so when someone shows something on Instagram of floss tube I just pick up a piece on line. It is lovely to stitch on .
Lovely linens you received! But I question if they got the colors backwards because my Heartland looks like your pictured Legacy. From what I understand Heartland was created to like Vintage Country Mocha without the "stamped" appearance. All the Legacy I have had has looked like the piece of Heartland in your picture.
I have PTP Legacy...for some project or another LOL...and know I loved it when it came. I know you'll put both pieces to good use. ~Robin~
You collect linen like I collect wool...lol! No need to have a project in mind.
