I mentioned about waiting for a small insurance policy from PA unclaimed property, and the fact that we had to hire an attorney because of the requirements, and also that Mark was named in the will provided to them. Along with court and notarized documents. We got a letter today requesting he file a notarized claim electronically. It states "If you are unable to electronically send the documentation required, you may mail your documentation to the address listed below". Do you see it? I don't either. And they have all the official documents necessary! Typical for any dealings we have with government employees of my state. And as with all state and federal employees, job security whether they work or not.
Some progress on Mary Ann but I've been sitting outside until dark enjoying the weather instead of being in the house. I should have finished it by now, but summer breezes are more important.
I'm getting a shipment with several pieces of Flax, very neutral (I hope) and I can hand dye and spritz away to make it my own, the Winter Brew that I jumped on when notified a few weeks ago is not coming, 32 and 40 Wren to see color, and Vellum. I never liked the mottled linen before and can't get enough of it now. Typical menobrain. I tried a piece of Dusty Road from Seraphim and it is also very neutral and soft but as happens with hand dyeing, smaller pieces may only have a few areas of shading. This one is only in the center so I will gently play with it, and order a larger piece also. I sure hope I don't have another long slump because I have been building my linen inventory, all 36 count which is also relatively new to me.
There has been a lot of back and forth criticism about wearing a mask and I can honestly say that if Joe wants to mandate this for the entire country, he will be in for a surprise. We have store entry doors stating in large letters NO admission without mask as per the state regulation and mandate. Guess what? The only people inside wearing them are elderly. A young woman in front of me at Kohl's without a mask was stopped and given one, she said no one could force her and they let her enter. Same with every store we have visited. They aren't refusing anyone entry even though a mask is required by the state and people will do what they please.
Hope you all had a great 4th and are safe and well.
Sue, if you want the two Sudberry, please email me. I can't contact you.

Your sampler will be beautiful. I love the fabric color and threads.
Cann't believe they let the people without mask enter the shop!
Here in the Netherlands you can be refused in the train and bus when you have fever or are coughing(is that the right word??) Even with wearing a mask.
Enjoy the weather and sunshine and stay save and healthy
Greetings Truus from Holland
Here too we tried to claim an "unclaimed "property it was too much trouble and we knew it was a small amount. Again husband was in the will. I do not understand the non mask wearing either. the sign is No shirt No shoes No service, we never hear of people getting crazy over that. PUT THE DAMN MASK ON! Sorry for the shouting but sometimes I cannot help it. I think a mask will be more comfortable than a ventilator. I agree recently I have been sitting in the yard in the shade instead of stitching . Take care everyone
I love all your samplers. Its encouraging to see that you change colors and just make your mistakes work. I do that sometimes too. If a few stitches don't make the sampler look different then I leave it. Perfect isn't always an option in my stitching.
The mask wearing should be made mandatory for all. We keep seeing that it works. But if the goofball running this country doesn't wear
one then his followers think they don't need it either. I also think a mask will be more comfortable than a ventilator. It's been nice here so I am enjoying my patio when stitching.
Washington just got the mask mandate starting today. I see the same thing you do. Young people seem to do exactly as they please. We have a nice park nearby and they gather in large groups in the evening. I just stay away. Enjoy your nice summer evenings. We have had a very cool rainy summer so far. This week highs are in the 60's. No summer here yet.
The address thing reminds me of the time that I got 32 copies (yes, 32) of the "Paperwork Reduction Act" notice in one envelope with a tax notice. Government at its finest. We may choose to disagree, but the mask thing is not a one-way street. There are many (including respected immunologists, etc.) who doubt their efficacy and for scientifically sound reasons...and some of us (even us with compromised immune systems and who are deemed "high risk") who have more issues with wearing them (other than discomfort) than wearing them. If it makes others feel safer, fine, let them wear them, and I will respect their right to wear them, but I don't think they should be mandated. Just like "shoes and shirts" policies, it is a matter of each individuals business's policy as to what to require (unless, of course, a state or municipality has taken the correct legal steps to enact legislation/ordinances to require it) to require masks. It is any one's right, in turn, to choose not to solicit that particular business if they don't want to wear one. But in public places, it's a choice...unless, of course, the applicable government has chosen to make it mandatory. Anywho...not my intention to start a war on an innocent blog post...just thinking that some aren't seeing there is more than "their" version of what's right.
