With a new attitude. For now. We'll see how it goes, no promises.
Eyelet stitches create interest in a marking sampler, a break from the standard alphabet. But I don't like stitching them all the way to Z. I considered changing the dividing band to rice or regular but I resisted. I'm following the chart. That hurt a little to say.
I can't reply to you Pam and I'm sorry I can't help with the linen. I know it's natural, raw, unbleached, but depending on the maker, they are all different. This is medium to light natural.
And for some reason I am getting a "whoops" error message when trying to comment on blogs. My second attempt claims it was posted but I don't see it. I am also not getting all emails. My laptop died and I don't have all the settings on my tablet chosen. So different from a computer and I will be buying another. The Lenovo with its erratic touchpad was given to a friend rather than thrown out the window. See? New attitude.
Hope your week went well.

The eyelet stitches really stand out, they're lovely. Why not just do a couple of letters a day until they are done, with some ordinary stitching in between times.
I agree with Sandra! The eyelets do stand out and it will be beautiful!
I am an eyelet fan as long I remember "not to cross the hole". I have done that before and really got angry at myself. The do take the alphabet stand out. Have a good weekend.
I love your attitude ~ always :)
You can make us laugh and god knows, WE NEED TO LAUGH...or we will cry.
Marly, this sampler is just beautiful and I love the colors. The eyelets will be so worth it when you get to Z!
Enjoy your weekend. Cherie in WI
I love, love, love eyelet stitches....don't do them very often though so I can't complain of tiring of them. Love your cat caves...and I am sure they do too...anything they can hide under or in. I could never do that because my "Baby" Brat would figure a way of moving the tub so it would fall and he'd be trapped underneath.... I just know. A new Marly...well, not sure I'd like that....I am kinda fond of the one we had. ~Robin~ (And, ummm, yeah....I have had problems at one point posting comments on blogs....in fact, I think it was yours. Finally I exited out of blogger and rebooted my ipad and it was fine. However, I have never ever found a solution to the problem of not getting email notifications of comments left by a few (two to be exact) bloggers on my post...so I have not way of knowing they comment unless I actually go to my blog and look at the comments....and then I have no way of responding to them.)
Got any hints on how to do eyelets? They are the bane of my stitching! How hard do you pull the threads to open up the hole and how do you travel from one area to the other?
Love your kitty caves. And that video of Petey! I was so happy to see that he allows you to touch him. He obviously loves his head scratches.
