Sharing the girls

Hi everyone.  My day is a gloomy, dark, rainy one, but as long as I'm here to complain about it, it's a good day.   Hope yours is also.

I got Elizabeth Clayton's threads onto the drops and cut my tunic top along with the loops because I had the floss in my lap.  I also wasn't paying attention and folded the length to create the pull through loop, and cut it.  Hey!  It was a loop!  So all in all, high gear of crabassiness.  (I have not found a spelling check in the new format so crabassiness stays.)  I pulled Winter Brew in 36 count, and started.  But I can't see well enough.  I just did the Gigi R design on the same fabric!  Seeing the eye doctor again tomorrow.

Once Ann's threads are on the drops, I will make an effort to begin her border.  Mary will be done on a lower count linen and her border is freehand after the body is completed.  But I want to start her also.  Never before have I worked on more than one, but I can't make up my mind and am tired of waiting for the gumption to begin.

I will list the bag tomorrow but today I am offering Kathy Barrick's Stitching Girls.

My version is with a simplified dress, very abbreviated from the original, and I am finished with the chart.  If you are interested in this offer, comment on this post with your initials or contact info (email is OK also).  If more than one request, I will draw a name Thursday evening around .... oh wait.  Supernatural is on at 8 so let's make it 7 pm.

Why can't we align photos next to each other anymore?

Petey is still scratching and swatting me right after he rubs his head on my hand and arm.  I'm not going to waste another flea med vial since he bolts, instead, I will use a spray.  But not spray it.  I poured some into a small glass and have a dropper handy.  When he is busy eating and I see the tick on him I hope to land a direct drop on it.  Best I can do.
Have a good day!!

Your girls are adorable! Did you see the new girls from Hands Across the Seas Needleworks? There are four of them and I think they are Christmas ornaments...but so, so sweet!!! I didn't know Kathy Barrick had these designs. Oh how I wish I had some of her early designs, along with the Goode Huswife, Ann Brown. Have a good evening and best wishes for the eye doctor!!

Marly: I do like the blue dress, it is not broken up like the original design.
I have not stepped into the more then one design stitch yet, maybe that is coming with the Christmas season about to pop I need to make a new ornament design for my tree.
It is snowing and cold today, oh how I dislike winter.
Have a great week.
Some cats have attitude.

Supernatural??? Tell me more! I am not familiar with that. (Yes, I live under a rock...) I used to limit myself to no more than 2 in work projects at once...then I relaxed that rule to no more than 2 WIPs of the same craft genre at once (e.g., no more than 2 cross stitching projects...but could also have 2 hooking projects and 2 punching projects going also)....then, I just said who cares. They're my rules so I can break them. (Logical, right??) We are to get 2-4" of snow tomorrow afternoon/evening....grrr....so I best go to bed before 8 am so I can get to the store and search for canned pumpkin before the weather starts. ~Robin~

PS...good luck at the eye doc.... I don't know what it is, perhaps the non-stop heat running again, but my eyes have been dry, itchy, scratchy, red, like never before. Yikes.... I don't even wanna think of what you are going through.

Your girl is very pretty. Makes me think of Dorothy from the wizard of oz.
I would love to stitch Kathy’s girls too. Thanks for sharing. 🤗

Good morning, Marly. I don't blame you for treating Petey the best way you can without getting scratched.
Am glad you're seeing your eye doctor. I hope he'll have a better treatment for you.
Happy stitching.

Hope you get a better medicine for your eyes when you see your eyedoctor.
Beautiful threads do you have for your projects and your Kathy girl is very pretty!
Cann't you pour the flee drops into the back of his head when eating?
Do hope it helps in this way.
Take care and stay save.
Greetings, Truus from Holland

Ha! You are one of the most prolific stitchers I know. (of) I am blaming my lack of enthusiasm to covid, weather, don't like my chair, square bread, too tired to kit, and a kitchen remodel.

I think Petey has an ambivalent attitude to you. He rubs you, marks you, then swats you. Love/Hate!

Try Grammerly.com. they have a free version, not too bad. blogger is a pain.

I love Kathy's girls. Thanks for being willing to share them.

And I hope the eye doc can help. I am currently seeing an opthalmologist and a retina specialist.

I love the way you stitched the dress!! Some times simplified is best. I think the red dress would make a cute Christmas ornament and would love to stitch it. My husband has Sojourns too but he hasn't had the troubles with his eyes that you do. Keeping you in my prayers. Stay safe and stay healthy!!

Susie from Lee's Summit, MO. BRRRRRR it's cold here.

It is cold here in my part of Illinois too. I'm sad that our summer disappeared so quickly, but am reminded of the snow storms we had the two weeks before Halloween last year. The kids trick or treated in 9 inches of snow! I hope your eye appt went well.
