Thanks to all who shared information on altering gowns. I never thought about the Velcro in the wash catching all the threads and floating dryer debris. Small snaps are not easy to secure with arthritis, and my preference would be a loop that could be slipped over a large button at shoulder. Alterations were never a problem but my mental status these days leaves no room for frustration. Luckily, after hours searching online retailers for her size in stock, I found a site called AllHeart which offered three styles. Bingo. Off the hook. She will have more dusters and muumuus than she needs but probably a good thing since the four occlusions and two clots in the calf of her left leg resulted in ulcers, no pants for a long while. Although excruciating pain, it feels like cement. She just can't move it.
Removed the border outline and adjusted, still slow progress.
We have several businesses that won't do our mandated sewage lines because of the layout here, and we're at the point of a bulldozer coming and leveling the pergola, deck, concrete, barnstone walls, shrubs, and ornamental trees. Taxes rising again, I need to get out of here.
My sister's nurses are all wonderful and it's nice that this unit has a fridge for patient treats. Help them by listing numbers that are monitored so they don't have to search.
Have a good day folks.
Once again, you always offer help and support when needed and I greatly appreciate it.

I'm so happy that you found an option taking the work off your plate! And that Carole is in a good place - having snacks of your choosing is a little thing, yet so big to make it feel a *tiny* bit less institutional.
I hope you don't have to bulldoze all that! What a mess that would be, in so many ways....
What a pity that you have to put up with municipal intervention on the sewers. It
would be nice if they just let you be... Great search on Carole's dusters...another item checked off. It is just like you to go the extra mile with Carole's snacks.. and how nice they permit them. So sorry that her leg continues to develop problems. Continued prayers for all involved.
Thanks for the update Marly...continued prayers and loving thoughts being sent your way.
Looks like the mountain of "troubles" is beginning to diminish but so sorry to hear of the sewer problem. Hopefully it can be resolved or else start looking for another place to call home -- horrible expense otherwise.
Glad you found the needed cover-ups for Carole and so nice she can have some snacks if she wants them.
Hi Marly: it is good you finally found a source of clothing for her, so sorry to hear she has blood clots.
I like the design you are working on.
Ouch sewer lines can be very tricky, we used to live out in the country, it was a hassle with the drain going to the holding tank, always clogging.
Hugs

A few answers for you, thankfully. Not an easy path, I'm glad your sister is closer and you can interact a bit, hopefully, this miserable situation will be winding down. We need to get back to normal, even if normal is fraught with issues. Take care of yourself. Sorry about the sewer situation.
Happy to hear you found something that Carole can wear and she is now closer to you.
Hope it will get better with her leg.
Take care of yourself Marly.
Lots of love and a big hug. Truus from Holland
Am so glad you found a company to purchase what you want for Carole. Now, if only her leg situation could be remedied.
So very sorry about the sewer situation. I know about taxes rising. The only way I could get out of paying them is if I was disabled.
I hate to think of you moving out of your home. I would hate to move out of mine too.
Prayers for relief from the heart ache and pain you've been going through.
Hugs,
Charlotte in Va.
So happy others were able to help and you found a source to make your life easier.
Glad you are able to find a few minutes to stitch.
Sending hugs...I'm sure you can use them.
So happy that you have found what was needed. I hope her leg can heal. Hope you can figure out the sewere situation. Living on Long Island, I certainly know about high taxes. Hugs and prayers being sent your way. Thank you for the updates.
