LOVE

this sampler.  Entire rows are one color of thread, I like that.  I am using the recommended for the first time in a long while, so much easier.

A wood "TV tray" has a high rim to hold items that continually slide off and I can just push it aside when I get up from my chair.  Little things like this make a big difference when you are on edge and distracted.

Finally getting to the chiropractor this morning after six months, and have an appointment with the eye specialist on Thursday.  I can't believe how bad they are and am hoping I can get Xiidra samples.  Once again, if you are on Medicare, coupons cannot be used, only people that have good insurance qualify, and the drops are not covered on my and other Plan D policies.

Continuing to fill in and become the most dense of all my petunias.  A single branch has so many new starts you can barely see it.

Carole's delirium has improved, the therapist explained the long and arduous road after the amputations and they still want to take both.  I don't see any surgery in the immediate future, doctor at facility did not listen to me again, and allowed the fluid buildup from CHF to cause a problem.  She needs a large initial dose, 40 mg a day does not move anything from the lungs.  After decades of use and a change to Demadex which worked better, CC removed diuretics from the med list so she has been without for weeks.

Have a good day.

I'm glad Carole's mental state is better, but too bad the CHF and lung issue is cropping back up. I wonder why the doctor took her off diuretics... I hope you do get samples for your eyes.

Question on prescriptions, medicare and coupons - Do you HAVE to have medications run through medicare & part D? It seems like if a medication is not covered, you should be able to bypass medicare & part d (don't even submit it), and use coupons. I can do that under my employer provided insurance. It does mean it doesn't count toward deductible though. Then again, that would make too much sense and I suppose drug and insurance companies have their fingers in making rules that it's not allowed so they keep their income up to pay for executive bonuses and huge marketing campaigns.

The flowers are looking good, it reminds me I should go prune my petunias when I go out and weed. I did try sticking some cuttings in potting soil and they seem to be doing OK, rather they haven't died yet. The sampler is looking good, and I like your TV tray to keep it all under control. I'm glad you are really enjoying stitching this one.

I am continually amazed that facilities do not take family information about meds into account. It would be really nice if they listened or at least explained the reason for the change. My mother was taken off one of her meds causing hallucinations because of withdrawal during one hospital stay. The med is to keep her calm and help her sleep. Really?! I pray that Carole can get some relief soon. I do like the cross-stitch that you are working on. One color rows are so soothing.

Marly: Beautiful Sampler, nice color threads.
Love the plant so full.
Good to hear about Carole, so sorry they are letting the fluids build up again.
I hope your eyes get better.
We found out that one of Mikes drugs was cheap so we could buy it outright, one that Medicare did not pay.

Have a wonderful day
Catherine

For the first time in a long time I sense a genuine sense of peace emanating from this post.... From the soft soothing colors of your sampler, to your appreciation for something as simply helpful as a lipped tv tray.... I am glad there is some acceptance on Carole's end and a plan moving forward there...and even more glad that you are finally going to find (take?) some time to take care of you. ~Robin~ (PS....as much as I envy you your petunias, I have to admit that I have never gotten the courage to trim them to encourage the healthy growth you garner.)

You probably know more about what meds work for Carole than those attending her. Shame
they don't at least consider your input. So sorry Carole and you have to go through
this near nightmare. Thank goodness her delirium has abated. Please take care of yourself and enjoy your time needling. Continued prayers.

So sorry to read about the trouble you had with Carole and so glad that her delirium has abated.
I always thought that the US was so good with all the medic care and health service, but I am very disapointed that is not the case.
And I feel so sorry for all the problems with your health and that of Carole where you are going to search and make phonecalls to sort all things out. Take care Marly and I wish that on Thursday there will be
lot of relieve in your own health issues.
Didn't get the mail blog where it says there are no more coming in. But today there was some a little bit strange and I was afraid of spam.
Sorry for the long comment...
A big hug for you and stay save.
