for your condolences on our Petey. My husband was never able to touch him, but he is having a hard time with losing him. Petey would come out of his condo to greet him, accept food and treats, and being as vociferous as he was, always had something to say. The beginning of every yowl sounded like a tractor trying to start, and ended with a high pitch meow. On some, the tractor took quite a while to start. There was no mistaking his sound, and it was certainly not infrequent. That big boy was a talker.
I may purchase one chart from the Nashville show, lots of wonderful projects. We're waiting to see the coverage of the weekly stretcher transports Carole has required to the surgeon, another tomorrow. We were told they may not be covered since they are to a doctor office, but he is debriding each time and they do not lift and carry a patient to a table, therefore, stretcher.
Very windy and warm here. I need to bring Petey's house and heated bowl in since the raccoons will take over if it's empty. I have a large multiple cat heated A-frame that I haven't decided to sell or donate yet. Bud was the only one willing to curl up with someone inside.
We knew 3G was ending but never had a date from Tracfone. We are using Verizon towers so followed their dates. Without notice, we lost our service the other day. Free phones were offered so we accepted them and will continue with the $20 for three month plan.
Be safe.

Truth time: When you started Jean I was a bit "dubious" of the colors/design for some reason. But I think she has become one of my very favorites...so much so that she has gone on my "someday-wanna-stitch-if-I-live-forever" list. She is absolutely beautiful. I have not intentionally looked at the new Nashville releases but, of course, some I couldn't avoid seeing...and, yeah...it happened again: I've fallen for several...even though I don't think I've finished (even started??) any of the ones I HAD to have from last year's new releases. There's just not enough hours in a day...and I am so...very....slow.... ~Robin~
Your sampler is beautiful. Your colors, the motifs, are so nice.
Feel so bad about Petey. He was so blessed to have you and your husband to care for him. So many are left to their own devices. We hear stories of animal abuse too often, I can work up a tear for an animal any day.
Our one priest is in his mid-80s. He was rescued from Poland during WWII. He has been very upset by world events. So, today, our Deacon, related a story of a local priest and his friend who went to Ukraine to rescue the friend's foster child and the other members in her orphanage, 21 of them. They are now in Czechoslovakia, waiting for rescue from there. The story is heart-lifting. I suppose my thought stream is rescue today. You may have seen this on the news. What a sacrifice. A rescue.
In many ways the content of your posts are often about a rescue of some sort. You may not have realized it. Your manner often rescues my bad mood. Thank you, and Mr. Petey will always be part of your story.
I know Mark misses Bud and now Petey. My daughter says she's not going to get anymore kitties after Sheldon and Pippa are gone. That's the first time she's ever said anything like that. It's just too hard to lose them.
Love your sampler, colors are beautiful as is your stitching.
Warm and windy here today. Have been out on my swing for a while. Very enjoyable.
Always thinking of you.

Marly, your sampler is just beautiful! I love the colors in it and your changes are just perfect!
We have tracfones, too, and never got a notice on when, either. One day neither of us had phone service! For some unknown reason we couldn’t get free phones and there were no phones in stock in any area stores in and around Green Bay! It was quite the fiasco, but we are finally set with our $20 plans! Now to figure out how my new phone works! I’d rather be stitching!
Again, I’m so sorry about the unexpected loss of Petey. Cherie in WI
Jean looks beautiful to me and I admire you stitching with your bad eyes and making so much samplers. I finished one with Christmas, but did not one more stitch after that and my eyesight is not as bad as yours.
Hope all went well for Carole with the appointment.
When 3G was ended here in the Netherlands the anouncement was in a special on the telly.
Take care and a big hug, Truus from Holland
As always, I love your stitching Marly. I have not done knitting or stitching...too hard to concentrate right now with all that is going on (in my life and in the world). Scary times. Mabel is helping me - she has turned out to be the sweetest thing!!
What a wonderful sampler. I amazed at how quickly you stitch.
Sending pug hugs ;-)
