The drying rack I kept samplers on has been at the nursing home and used by sis for a long time. I decided to use the smaller ladder that held towels in the bath and get some of the stored pieces back out.
So I started with these.
Not pressed and pinned yet, they may stay or be changed. I'm concerned about Miss Monkey taking a few swipes even though I have the grippers on the bottom to prevent sliding. I always use felt pads to protect the wall paint from the old wood on anything I hang. May need to put something on the little milking stool beneath this that she avoids.
The much longer handmade ladder from Zedo (Mark's grandfather) is so wonky it is hard to display. I did at one time but this smaller one will work nicely. Carole told me she wants to keep that drying rack, very handy for wheelchair patients, so I told her that was fine. I'll take mom's boiled wool jacket. She made a face but little does she know I was keeping it regardless.
Have a nice day folks.

I bought a nice blue ladder on Stay to display my unfinished works in progress. I love that I can now display them and they are in my face so I can decide what to work on next.
What a beautiful display. I have been searching for a small ladder for some time, it will show up one of these days. Have a lovely Thanksgiving.
Love those samplers on the ladder! Such a great way to display. Reminds me of the Show Towels of the Amish.
Your samplers look so nice on the ladder. Gives you the chance to enjoy them even more.
Best wishes for a memorable Thanksgiving, with all the trimmings.
Sending love and hugs.

What a nice idea to display samplers not (yet?) fully finished. You can enjoy them yet it takes away the pressure to get them finished, and the guilt of stuffing them in a drawer.
Zedo's ladder might be wonky but I'm sure there's a way to display it. It might take adding a bit of extension to one leg or hanging it on the wall though. Unless by wonky you also mean loose and wobbly in addition to crooked?
Funny about Carole making a face over the coat. Too bad - she don't get all the good stuff in addition to the all she's gotten from you over the years.
What a wonderful way to display your samplers, Marly!
Love the ladder and the great inspiration! I have several finished but unframed pieces that would be lovely displayed on a ladder I already have! Thanks for sharing!
Happy Blessed Thanksgiving Marly and Family:
I really like the ladder idea, very interesting.
You are lucky to be able to keep the coat, it is a treasure I am sure.

I love all the samplers on your ladder. What a great display!
Happy Thanksgiving ;-)
Marly, I’d trade a drying rack for that beautiful red coat! I love your samplers displayed on the ladder rather than stored n a drawer, like mine are! I have serious framing to do! Happy thanksgiving to you and yours. Cherie in WI
