How was everyone's first days of 2023? Ours were busy and will continue to be.
I'm close to finishing the stacked hearts leaving only over one for completion. I'll chart before stitching to see which placement would be pleasing. So far, just May 17 on that line with the year beneath. Other option is Age 14 preceding Ann and full month, day, year beneath. I'm liking that option more.
My initial visit with the new rheumatologist made end of summer, was again canceled. This time the scheduler failed to give the longer intake appointment and my begging to keep the half hour visit didn't work. Now I wait until mid March. I just want an rx for Pilocarpine to help my dryness! You know the problems I've had looking for a new PCP and the current won't order them. So tired of waiting so long.
I made calls for suffering sis and found out why the hospital bed Dr. ordered on 12/22 is still not delivered. Seems it was overlooked by the medical equipment outfit. No action taken at all, blamed it on fax transmission static. What? So if I hadn't called ......nothing would have happened. It's being delivered Thursday afternoon giving us time to dismantle the maple frame and king mattress. No idea where to put it.
Her section of the facility she left is case after case of covid for weeks.
Enough crabbing! Coming to an end in a few days hopefully.
Stay well, be safe!

Aye aye aye, just shakin my head. Incompetence seems to be on the rise. I visited a retired doctor friend today who is suffering from several serious ailments and he too is beyond frustrated. He said medicine used to be a service industry but now it`s a business...a poorly run one at that.
Hi Marly: Happy Blessed New Year, I love this Sampler, it is lovely, the hearts are my favorite part of the Sampler.
Good luck on your appointment.
Catherine
Grin and bear it with wisdom and fortitude, as you always have,
Marly. Reliability seems to have left the building these days.
Chin up, as you say, it should all quiet down shortly...Bless you.
Static on the fax line sounds like a poor excuse, then I remember either Dad or I had to call and raise hell with the phone company every spring as something in their equipment in town caused static on Dad's land line. Static to the point that hearing him was very difficult. Still, unless the whole fax was unreadable, why they couldn't call and ask for a resend, or send it another way, is poor service. I hope the bed shows up as planned.
And as for your appointment woes, I have no words. After recovering from covid last fall, I had very dry mouth when I woke up at night for a few days. I can't imagine what it's like to be even drier in both eyes and mouth round the clock like you do.
Both plans for Ann sound good. I can't wait to see the finish.
Can't seem got get my ears and nose open. Sounds like I'm breathing in a box. Have taken Amoxicillin and Zpac, breathe steam etc. etc.
Am glad Carole will get her hospital bed. I hope she will love it.
Am seeing a new doctor today....from Texas, may be her first day on the job here, but she has 30 years experience. If I don't like her will go to Fairfax hospital on the 11th to see someone else.
Would feel much better is I could get my nose open.
Enjoy your day.

Happy 2023 to you Missy. Here's hoping it's a better one all around, eh? Ahhh...rheumatologists...sore subject in my world. I had an excellent one (you know...back one of "those" when doctors were doctors and cared and were competent?) She returned to Romania for family matters and the clinic never replaced her. The remaining staff rheumatologist couldn't fit all her patients on to her schedule and therefore we were just "lost".... I was told they would not renew my injection prescription (the one that keeps me off the floor) unless I drove to a new dr an hour and a half away. Seriously? I raised hell and threatened a complaint with the Commissioner of Insurance and they resurrected an old navy dr from some other time era and he drove to a town here to see me. Did nothing but tell navy stories and then refill my script. Then the clinic completely closed the rheumatology dept and now I have to drive 45 minutes away to see the old dinosaur. Anyway...I digress...as usual. Sorry. Good luck to you is all I can say. ~Robin~
There is just so much incompetence. Sad you have to deal with it personally and with Carole.
