While deciding on the linen for Sarah, I moved to ...
to check colors on this 36 Tobias. Sort of greenish and the cool pinks of 3721, 223, and others recommended do not make me happy. Well .... what does?
After quite a few (more like 14) stitch-and-remove tests of various pinks, I think the bright but not gaudy 3712 is the winner. The others leaned to a peachy pink, not good with the darker reds in the body, or too light as the last test of 3778. As of today, this color is perfect. The other flower is light, changed from 437 to 3827. I may do all in pink, depends on my mood.
Another change may be the border, as is. I stitched the second color and didn't like it as well as this more open vine. Plus it's less work and I'm lazy. And tired. Very tired for numerous reasons. If the border needs frogged, I will have one color of spaced stitches to remove. Always an option to fill with the second color later.
Have a good hump day!

I am anxiously awaiting to see if all of your flowers in the border end up pink. ;)
I love your custom made drink holder made by Mark! I do not follow modern music either. And I am not going to look up Cardi B!
Have a great day Saint Marly!
Well, modern music? Noise? Sing-song talking? NO, here. I absolutely love the cup holder, he needs to set up at Shaker Woods...will there be a festival this year? haven't heard. One thing I noticed about pinks in samplers, not by experience by the way, but by study. Pinks with blueish undertones seem to blend better, is that my imagination? Hope you are feeling better. Lots of sun down here in the the south.
Great carrier.
I haven't a clue who Cardi B is either. I will stay under my rock....or is it my mushroom...lol?
I know who she is, but drawing a blank on if I've ever heard her music.
I like the drink holder! Hope you get finished up at Carole's this weekend with no family drama.
The drink holder made by Mark is fabulous. You are so lucky with your handy husband.
Never heard of the music of this lady- have most of the time classic music as background 'noise' for my tinnitus.
Wishing all goes well this weekend at Carole's and it will be finished.
Take care and hope you are feeling much better by now,Truus from Holland
Hi Marly: Nice change of color, you have a gift for picking the perfect threads and fabric.
I like the drink holder what a great idea.
I hope all goes well at Caroles, I just hope you can get them all under control, Carole needs her rest and recuperation.
Hugs
Catherine
