Thin blue line

Should have done this before starting the over one.

Quite a bit was stitched of this first line and it wasn't until I straightened it for a photo that I saw the error.

The n is one higher which is an easy fix but that started the mess.  It continued in the following word, one higher than the n.   Sarah in the wreath was off by three and needed removed and raised.

I didn't want to use darker thread for the guide line, concern was residual fuzz.  But the blue is not as distinct, my eyes need more.  This is difficult for me on 40 count.

Now that the offending row has been removed, I plan to work on the border which is over two and absorbs placement errors very nicely.

Michaels had 40% off everything in my online order, ended Sunday, distractions pulled me elsewhere and I failed to get the order in.   Lesson learned, don't dilly dally.

Regarding my comment on PAs.  Not a problem for follow up visits or minor issues.  They should not be allowed to diagnose.  What one put me through was unethical and terrifying for months.  The PA in the ortho office failed to catch my cousin's life threatening condition.  Months after knee replacement, it swelled twice its size.  PA said ... inflammation causes swelling and he must have twisted his knee, ice and Advil.  A month later, back in the office with more swelling, same thing.  He demanded to see the doc and eventually his surgeon entered the room.  Immediate concern, aspirated the knee, surgery the next day to remove the prosthetic knee which was infected and into the bone.  It has been six weeks without a knee joint, a rigid brace to keep the leg aligned, no walking, very difficult position.  His PICC line will be removed in a few days, two more weeks to check for residual bacteria, then several more until the knee is replaced and therapy starts again.  And that PA (who they scheduled for me) is still there, probably good with minor conditions.  But my cousin will never trust a PA again.  Many are valuable dedicated staff members, but patients should not be hesitant to request NP or doc if not comfortable with diagnosis.

Hope you have a great day.

Thanks for visiting.

That's a great idea to run a line across for over one wording placement. Over one on 40 ct. is so very hard--and getting harder as our eyesight worsens. This sampler is looking splendid--I hope all the placement errors are gone for good. Totally agree with you on PAs not being allowed to diagnose. Thankfully, my doctor's office is all full-fledged MDs so I feel fairly confident in them, but even then you have to be your own advocate.

July in three days?!?! What? What a weird summer it's been and we're having a very smokey, chemically smell due to the Canadian wildfires today. Take care now! ♥

So sorry about having to rip out threads it can be maddening.
I hope his knee is replaced and he is feeling better.
We do not have PAs that diagnose here in our clinic thankfully.

Still no tantrum?? Shut the front door. Proud of you girl. The description of what happened to your cousin sounds awful - sure hope he heals and gets put to rights soon. Ouch. ~Robin~

Hi,

I'm having terrible pain in my knee with the replacement. Had MRI, 2nd opinion wants to redo the entire knee - no idea why the pain, what's causing it and will it happen with another new knee? So, I'm not ready to do this again with so little information. One person (OD) said it could be the knee is being rejected by my body...I could be alergic to the knee material? No answers and since I had such a terrible time doing the knee in the first place......

Know that I'm thinking of you and praying that it all works out. P.S. I do not do PAs nor NPs...

Have been having a problem with doctors, hospitals, nurses since Nov. 23, 2022. Still have more to go.
Never knew life would be like it has been.
Love your cross stitch piece. So tiny to see and do.
Have a happy, restful, enjoyable 4th weekend and day.

Hope all the stitches are in one row now, but why with your eyesight on 40 count?
You don't make yourself very easy to stitch on this count.
But Sarah is beautiful!
Don't like hospitals and all the staff around and don't even like some doctors either....
Take care and wish the knee replacement went well with him,Truus from Holland

I use regular sewing thread for guide lines. I'm less likely to snag it with stitches, and it doesn't leave threads. It's a good use for those odd bits I pull through the machine when changing thread, or left on sewing machine bobbins. IIRC, some use fishing line?
I can't tell you how many times I've had an order filled out and didn't get back to finish the order. Sometimes it's too many things going on, sometimes it's the amount on the credit card that I hesitate.
Sarah is looking good.
