Booms bangs and blasts

Just get a freaking sparkler, OK?  There is no need to rattle my windows.

Good grief.

This is a previous photo of the 1776 pear, nothing else to show.  I still adore the little 1776 pillow that I stitched not too long ago, yet can't find it.  Of course, my eyes are seeing red so it's possible that it's being overlooked.  Why am I seeing red?  Because I received a return call from the ortho office and there was NO reason to not administer the injection over a week ago.  The PA was totally wrong, their only protocol is a three month wait between cortisone injections.  Period.  Those steroid meds are not and never were a factor in timing.  In fact, since I was done with the pack for over a week, it was entirely irrelevant.  Am I ticked?  You're damn right I am.  I've been suffering for over a month waiting for this appt to receive the shot and they refused because they are clueless?  Not one, but TWO PAs conferred!  They have an opening at the end of July for me.  Really.  You screw up, have patients see PAs that are not knowledgeable enough to feed a cat, and you're making me wait another month?   AUGH!!!

Enjoy the 4th, be safe!

Yes, I think turning fireworks loose with people that have no clue what they are doing is daft. And then towns and cities decide to make it illegal to shoot them off in town, so people are suddenly "friends" with people out in rural areas. Worse is people that simply find an open area and set them off without the property owner's permission. Never mind that there's open fire bans, livestock, wildlife, people and pets with no warning...UGH!

I got no words about the PA (2 of them on top of it!) and the shot, rather lack of a shot. Well I do have words and lots of them, but I'll not use them here. Absolutely they should work you into their schedule even if it meant someone coming in early, working through lunch, or staying late. I hope you can avoid seeing them again. Making you wait another month because of their screw up...UGH.

I forgot to say the pear is sweet, I hope you find it soon.

You would think they could easily squeeze you in for a shot considering it was their mistake.
I nearly died during the Covid debacle because I had sepsis and they thought it was Covid until 2 tests came back negative and by the way refused to see me in person. I was very very ill and landed in the hospital with a drain in my liver.
My favorite holiday of the year and have many patriotic cross stitch pieces, my favorite being Washington Slept Here and Martha Slept Here. Enjoy!!!

Marly, you have every right to be ticked! I agree....they should squeeze you in ASAP.
I love your pear and the pillow you’re looking for! (I can relate!)
Have a wonderful day! Cherie in WI

Tick off to your heart's content, Marly..That scenario is unconscionable and they should have moved mountains to atone to you for their ineptitude. Hope you can find another practice to obtain adequate/better care. I have always loved that pear and hope you unearth it soon...great for any season. Whatever your plan for the day, have a hearty and relaxing Independence Day in gratitude to all who have made and make our freedoms possible. Fresh strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream are the perfect Fourth color combination on pound cake....God bless America ~

It has sounded like a war zone here for several weeks. With windows closed, I have been awakened a number of times by the noise IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT! Don't they have better ways to spend their (or it it our???) money?
That ortho office really screwed up...and they will not accommodate you an earlier than the end of the month? I would be seeing red, too. Fingers crossed they will squeeze you in.
Happy 4th to you and Mark ;-)

I love your 1776 pear. I know the pillow of which you speak. I did a flat fold finish on mine and always intended to restitch it as I wasn't pleased with my fabric choices. Wowza on the other issue. Seriously?? What a s*#t show. You have had some really crappy experiences/luck with your medical treatment. If I were you, I'd find some firecrackers of my own and light them under someone at that facility. Demand to speak to the director or whoever is in charge there. ~Robin~

They really need to squeeze you in, they should have the next day. By the time your end of July appt. comes around, your leg may be better on its own. Jen

I am not a fireworks fan in the least! We used to have neighbors that would shoot them off from their backyard which lies on a hill above us. I was so scared that one would land on our roof and burn the house down. I much prefer sitting inside and watching them on television.

Oh, that is so maddening about your health mess... Really--how can they not get you in the next day when it was their fault?!?! Hope July passes quickly and you can get some relief in the meantime.

Hope you find the missing little pillow--I know exactly which one you're talking about. I've always meant to stitch your cute pear... Some day!

I love your 1776 pear, Marly. I remember stitching it for an exchange and just realized I should stitch myself one. I am so sorry about the medical screw-up. They should be much more accommodating since they messed up. Thinking of you!

Love the pear, sorry to hear you are having such a hard time. I have so much pain with my knee that they want to replace the replacement - saying nothing is wrong with it...just pain and no guarantee that a new knee will be any better.....I think not.
i will not do a PA nor a NP...just won't. You say it all so well.

I am stitching Tempting Tangles Shamrock in one color (green)...almost done but do not want to stitch the flowers - don't think they belong...might look for a charm (s).

Hugs

The pears are lovely and I have made several of them.
Hope you will have a phonecall very soon for the injection.
Great you will finish Sarah-- it's such a beautiful sampler.
Take care, Truus from Holland

Oy Vey! What a mess - the medical profession is not so professional these days. So sorry for ALL that you are dealing with right now. Thinking of you Marly.

so not happy about all of the fireworks either... living rural with farm animals {and dogs, cats, birds...} it really is frightening to them!
