Merry Christmas to all

Wishing you a wonderful day and holiday week.  Relaxed or rowdy!

We got Carole into the house, but had major problems getting her back into the car.  Her motorized chair is an ilevel which can elevate, but not be transported by car.  Her folding manual chair is much lower than car seat height and she couldn't pull herself up the sloped transfer board.  We used 4x6 post scraps and lifted her in the chair onto them, braced it, making the transfer more level.  A very small, low, compact model car may work, but the limited door swing and opening would prevent the chair from getting close to the seat.  Ours is lowest in the family, the others are suv.  She enjoyed herself, all snazzy with matching drop earrings and beads, new velvet top, first time in our house in over three years.

Dinner went well, was good, never again.  Anything from now on will be in crock or made ahead to pop in the oven.

Working on Fricking Frosty today.  I have removed more stitching than I've put in.  Everywhere.  Quite a few changes.  For such a little guy he's been huge aggravation.

For Susan - Santa bag stitched from Prairie Schooler book 58.

Hope everyone is having a nice day whether alone or with way too many guests.

Be well, be safe!

Merry, Merry, Miss Marly. Sorry to read of the troubles with the transport. That was an issue in my mother's later years as well. I had an SUV and my husband had a full size pickup so everything was too high. I did have my convertible, but that was too low to the ground so if she could get in, she couldn't get out. A quiet, rainy, night in Nod. Unheard of to have rain on Christmas here. I haven't stitched in a long time...perhaps I will try to pull a few stitches tonight. ~Robin~

So happy for Carole to be able to visit your home.
The "handicap" situation is unpleasant but something to consider the next time. You CAN do it
Our Christmas Eve dinner was delicious, but my daughter
said she would never buy a whole turkey again.
She found the neck and forgot the giblets......the neck looked like
it had come from a giraffe. Not to her liking.
The giblets were removed, and roasting went on as planned.
Happy New Year !

Ho-Ho-Ho Marly. I remember those same transport issues with my Mom in later years. It was hard! Fristy looks so cute. I'm hoping to gett back to stitching this week.

I'm sorry about the troubles getting Carole back in the car, but glad she did get there and had a good time. Yes, doing as much ahead and re-heat is a good plan. It seems no matter how much is done ahead, there's still plenty of last minute things needing finished up.

Frosty is looking good. Why is it sometimes the small simple projects cause the most troubles!?

Marly, glad you had a lovely Christmas even with the troubles getting Carole in the car. Sorry the snowman piece is giving you fits.

Happy that Carole had her visit with you! It is not easy transporting for sure! I haven’t picked up my cross stitch in a while, too busy to count those stitches and the last thing I need is a visit from some frog lol
