Ain't got no rhythm

Start #1
The Coverlet Needlebook
Lucy Beam

Stitching from the chart but following the angle of my berry template.  The stars' points on the right are charted one stitch less than the other points so I added to balance.  But I can't get a rhythm.  Nowhere near.  So many placement errors and picking it's ridiculous for such a simple star and also the tulips.

Thread is called Gunmetal, very soft, shades of lavender and faded blue.

If I continue having issues, I can shorten the height and finish into a beautiful heart.

Kitting another now for my monogamousity pause.

Be safe!

Greetings Marly: I have had a few designs that drove me to drink a load of coffee which did not help when i got the jitters, I do not like pulling out threads especially weeks dye works, expensive threads and then I have to waste, icky.
This is a lovely color of thread, I like the pattern so far.

That is an absolutely gorgeous color. I hope the stitching goes easier for you, I look forward to seeing more of this work.

Such a lovely soft color and beautiful chart. Hope you will have finished this one by now...it is too beautiful not to finish this one.

I do like Gunmetal. The shades of gray and blue are perfect for this stitch. I was having a horrible time myself doing some 1 over 1 in my project. Finally after much picking myself got into the swing of it. Janice

Lavender isn't usually in my top tier of favorite colors but the combination of it in this floss is gorgeous! I can't decide which finish I'd favor most...thinking both would be wonderful. Maybe once you find your rhythm (which you will!) you can do both.
