Yep.
The 936 was too strong for me on the Mink, didn't attempt on Sand. But the dividing band of green and pink is better than using browns, quite a bit of that throughout. All I had to do was substitute 3051 and it's fine.
So I changed the three letters back to green (3051). 3052 may have been a better, lighter option, but I couldn't find it. No energy to search for it. Or patience. It's a snark day.
Done.
We're attempting to copy this lantern for between the copper pots. This is very dark and a little too wide.
Wood is cut, ordering a piece of copper for top and will look up aging methods. I could also use aluminum and mimic a copper tone. Wish me luck !
I so miss the colonial shops we used to have here. And the antique malls. And the flea markets. And department stores.
Be safe.

I love the idea of copying the copper lantern, can't wait to see your results. I too miss all the Colonial, Country and Primitive decor at shops. Only one left in our area and I still love to walk in and feel warmth and sense of coziness. I have hoarded all my old decor and pull out things seasonally. And my kids roll their eyes. One day it will all be theirs to dispose of.
You know your colors Girl. (And you make me go dig out my 3051 and 3052 to compare. What the heck kind of power do you hold?) I can't wait to see the lantern project end result! You and Mark are so incredibly creative and talented. (And I think a lantern in the center will be the absolute cat's meow.)
You are a crazy stitching machine!
Looking forward to seeing the finished lantern. Such talent and creativity.
Oh, I wish you luck with recreating that lantern, Marly! That will be beautiful! I, too, miss all those places... it's a totally different experience now, sadly.
Wishing you luck on the project. Love your sampler thus far. Janice
Hello Marly: I like the soft colors of the thread on the fabric, I am looking forward to seeing the fully finished design.
The lantern is beautiful, I hope you share what comes of the new lantern you design.
