Eye candy on floss tube

Greetings!  This morning a sweet friend sent me a link to a floss tube video that is absolutely wonderful.  Thought I would pass it along for you to see her fabulous sampler collection, glimpses of her decorating and tons of redware.  I enjoyed it!!  In case you can't open the video from here, this is the link...

I can barely speak because my mouth is practically glued shut and no products are working.  Food turns into a cotton ball when eating and I have to take water with each bite creating a horrible texture with no taste.  My eyes are shut because they burn so bad, no products working there either.  Doc said all they can do is recommend products to try to control the symptoms and they aren't working.  Also told me that this severe of a case will not go into remission and I need to be monitored for lymphatic cancers and scleroderma.  Seeing an eye specialist in two weeks (Restasis is not for this syndrome) and they called yesterday with two other products to try, every 15 minutes.  I am so surprised that such an extreme situation arose so quickly in a healthy person.

I'll tell you what is bothering me even more next time.  Or not.

We get our car insurance, house insurance, property taxes, and income taxes at the same time (and Carole's tooth extraction, and the bridge work she now wants).  Our tax preparer stated that people are ticked off because they expected big returns.  She had to show them the difference in what they paid in previously.  The rates are lower and no one thought about the fact they are getting more in the paychecks.  She said even showing them how much less their total liability was, they are still mad.  Bottom line, the less taken out of your pay, the less your refund will be!

Have a good day!

Double take

From out of the sewing/craft room came a plain box and four labels.  Two labels are without a home and I will offer them to you soon if you'd like to attach to a box.

I decided this final final final box can be two faced.  Set on a table that can be viewed from both sides, it's perfect.  Are you having an Eliza day?

Or a Mary day?

Or a snarky day and don't want to be bothered?

I need to buy a shipping box and will offer the girls this weekend.

A little chest

Other than mine, that is.

When we had a flea market and antique mall, those little cedar chests that companies put out many years ago were plentiful.  Anyone remember how important it was to have a cedar chest and what a special piece of furniture it was?   Everyone had one in my family to store blankets and linens and treasures.

Miniature advertising versions were common and I have several.  So well made, wonderful little cedar chests/boxes. This one has rounded corners that were detailed so I could not add the bottom apron and legs which would be angled.   I tried ball legs but wasn't happy with the look.  That day, there wasn't much at all I was happy with.  Day of the Crab.  I filled those details with Bondo, sanded the finish, and painted it black.  Blah.

So I used a crackling solution and then added another layer of black.  Putting the product on fairly thick in spots allows it to stay gummy and when painted, lumpy and bumpy.

I much prefer legs and bases on these little chests but all I can do with this one is find a metal square, drill out the lock hole, and affix over it.  Or maybe add an old looking new one.

Teal has been appealing to me and I may buy a bottle to add a chipped layer over the black.  Another trip to Pat Catan's is in the near future, I wonder how much merchandise is left.

My favorite post office guy was not there when I went in to mail packages, the bitch was.  But all is mailed and coming in hot pink envelopes.  Again, please let me know if you aren't happy.

Have a good day!!

Thanks again.

Done for a while

Thank you all for your purchases.  I hope you'll be pleased with your fabrics!  I think I forgot to list a 27 x 36 and two 18 x 28, but I am done for a while.  That's a lot of work!  After looking at and measuring and folding the linen for days, especially with dry blurred eyes, I am hoping I did not miss any issues.  Please check your linen when you receive it and if there is a problem, please let me know.  Seriously.  I just couldn't do it any longer and trying to pull the right sizes and counts for multiple item orders wore my big ass out.  I also was surprised to see that the new higher rates of the post office also include a major change in First Class.  Previously, you could mail a package up to 16 ounces at the lower rate, but that changed back to a 13 ounce limit, no choice but Priority.  Well... beans.  Wasn't expecting that.

Thanks again.

Thank you

Well that went quickly.  I had twelve requests clocked in at 7:00 and ten at 7:01!!!   All that is left is lonely #6.  The second sale will be tomorrow night (Monday) at 7pm EST.  I won't post again and the email subscribers will be notified tonight.  I remembered.  Prices are listed now, no limit on pieces.  If you plan to request, please state the count and exact size of the piece.  Thanks everyone.  Whew.

Envelopes are being delivered tomorrow and I will be at the PO on Tuesday for mailing.

This evening

All pieces for the second offering are now correct and posted on the Linen sale page with instructions for this evening.   I'm sorry I don't have the color names of the few that are not unbleached/raw, but you can email me with any questions. I will try to price the larger pieces and offer them Monday evening so orders can be combined.  You can't imagine the amount of time I've spent measuring and trying to work out the prices.  I am keeping the really large pieces and some others for specific samplers, and also much more than I will ever need.  If I change my mind, I can always offer those later.

Thanks!!
