The holdup

My right index finger is completely numb from carpal tunnel today after a few weeks without issue. While taking this break, I need to decide on the pot's fill color. Called for is very light pink, not sure. If I stitch that in a pattern with the outline blue, better.

I added a few stitches around the blooms as stems, don't care for floating flowers.

About doctors here ... we had great both old school and new school, until the hospital started failing. Services and procedures halted, eventually closed. Nowhere to go, the other local facility is an extension of a major flagship. There were no privileges unless affiliated.

Mary's Garden

is the next Nash oval.

I couldn't find the chart so I downloaded the pdf. Since I much prefer paper over screen, I printed it. Not very clear, could be my printer. But it was my only option.

This is 40 count Tobias that went from a magnificent golden brown to a lighter swampy green over two years.

Here's another example of the doctor situation here. Since the hospital closed, many left the area or retired. Under new ownership, rebuilding trust and stability isn't happening and specialists have moved on. My cardio office is here, but on staff an hour away, not here. A smaller surgical hospital is working with them so we can have some testing done locally. This is where I was told my appt with the electrophysiologist (from Chicago) would be. It's by phone. If after reviewing tests already in my chart require a procedure, he will come in on a Saturday, do it, and return to Chicago. Really? After messing with the electrical impulse system of your heart? No thanks.

The doctor my family has used for years, including Carole, is now retiring in two weeks. When your patients don't have confidence in where they can get care and testing, and doctors need to find other facilities to deal with, they leave.

Hooked!!

Love these sweet smalls! I'm looking forward to more of the Nash ovals. Needlebook? Pin disk? Or just hanging from ribbons in a group? That would be the easiest for a lazy stitcher like myself. I can lightly glue the fabric backs in case I would like to change to a needlebook in the future.

Gathering the other charts today and choosing linen colors for each.

Cheese nalasniki for dinner. Soft and sweet. Swelling not moving and pain is not easing. On antibiotics so no concern over infection. Nerve issues and the nearby implant posts that are throbbing are my concern.

Distracted

But not by what I would expect.

I had to have my back molar removed, getting set for an implant bridge to replace the previous. I've had extractions, implants, cavities, root canals. The lidocaine/novocaine takes twice as long to wear off as it should, and I get one quarter of the standard dose. Drug sensitive I am, which doctors smirk at.

The night of that dental visit, I had a low fever, uncontrollable shivers, several blankets could not warm me in the 80 degree heat and humidity. Hours. All of my joints were painful, and I thought...... Lyme disease. After speaking with the doctor, this was a reaction to the anesthesia injection. After many visits, now this happens? So I have to take antihistamines and steroids every time I have work done? The fatigue is better today because I have slept so much. My jaw is still very swollen and painful down into my throat. It will pass!!

Not feeling like choosing another project and linen, I am trying to get the ovals ready for final construction. Rather than an open needlebook (four sides to finish), a pin disk will be less work. I hope.
