Attempt to kit

I didn't care for that Charcoal and will need another blackish overdyed for the cat, so I'm waiting for an order.  Meantime,  I hope to kit these projects and start one or more.  None as small as I would like though.

Top only -

There are a few other smalls I may choose.  Situation with the family has me fuming and I am one of those immature crabs that can't let things go.  Not for a while.  Lack of patience and tolerance causes more crabby than usual so choosing another project is taking some time.

Cooler and rain today.  Made StitchingDreams Potluck Banana cake with coffee frosting and it only lasted two days.

Hope your week is going well.

AI

we are told, knows all.  But three times I have received erroneous answers when searching.

This time, the fourth, I did a screen shot to show that the same pill I tried to identify by its stamped code and color, yielded two very different results.

Here's AI info when searching "round pill TL216", not an image search, different result, same day.

Spironolactone is correct.
Be careful when relying on AI.

Part 2

I did not like that solid black.  Not sure what other overdyed floss would be a good choice, I have leftover GAST Black Crow and it is a bluish black.  So I am using the WDW Charcoal, a warm gray with brown variegation.

When stitched, I think it's dark enough and the browns are ok with me.  The solid black was too stark for the look I want.

Dye is Rit Charcoal with a drop of blue, and a drop of marigold for the brown.

And since I don't stitch much at all for halloween, a tombstone never dawned on me!  Thanks Robin, it would have taken a while, if ever, to realize that.

I am feeling fatigued, no physical work today.  We added tung oil to the brazilian cherry rocker I purchased decades ago after an entire day of cleaning and scrubbing it.  My cedar chair and swing were burned last week after finding what appeared to be termite damage.  Yes, they can.  Cedar is not as resilient to rot and insects as we thought.  Lost two log benches, a deck, and split rail fence to rot.

Taking a ride to snag a few Ice Cubes at the specialty food shop.  Carole's date was finally etched into her headstone, another skilled profession that is fading away.  He is the last and plans to retire.  The memorials are engraved when installed of course, but family stones need dates added as members pass.  Many have stones in place with pre-planned/paid funerals and need this service also.

Enjoy your weekend.  Last one in July.

I am so crabby.

The rock

It is a rock, no?

Well I have no WDW Pelican Gray and that creates a justifiable reason to place a new order.  I found GAST Charcoal for another project and it would have been better for the bird.  Too late.

This Confederate Gray is really light, maybe it would be better than the darker Pelican?  Date and bat would show better for sure, but I may wait until my order comes.  That other skein is Uniform Blue, very gray, but too dark.

I planned to order a few of Erica Michaels berries and another chart so will just add the thread and click the order button.

End of July fast approaching.  Enjoy it while we can!

Slowpoke

I should be finished.  Things happening around here caused a slowdown.

I tried filling some rows with dmc 310, hoping it would be slightly darker and change the solid look.  Nope.

I may mess with a little more dye.  Yes, I've been foolish enough to do that on a stitched piece.  I lead a boring life by choice, that creates a risky adventure for a little excitement.  I like the result of this dye mix, may do another piece to have in stash.  I test along the edges first to check intensity.

Stay safe folks.
