Greetings to all. First -
I want to wish everyone that celebrates Easter, a happy and blessed day. And to those of you in school districts and states that have banned the word Easter, let me say it for you...
EASTER!!!!
How can you preach tolerance when you teach the opposite?
Moving on ~
Here is the eighth pear! Only four more to go!! Chart is available in the Pears page under the header. I saw so many lovely spring designs with pastels, vibrant greens, rabbits, and chicks. Although beautiful, just not me. So I chose the 730's and 830's in their glorious odd gold/green/brownness and I like the result. I have to say, that last pear was yuk to me. I just couldn't handle it. I dipped my paintbrush in black coffee and saturated it the other day. It helped, but not enough. I think the heart threw everything off and it should have been solid and much smaller, but I tried that on paper and didn't like it either. Too late. You know I always set fire to things that aggravate me and if I didn't need it for a group photo, probably would have by now. Chances are really good that I will disassemble and change the center. And yes, the fusible interfacing is on the back, but reheating it under a pressing cloth will allow it to be removed . It softens the glue bond and will come off in one sheet. Just heat again if it doesn't. With that off, I am back to linen and can make changes, or light a match.

I'm back to working on Lori's design but the house is pretty large and I'm missing my usual letter stitching. I may pick out a sampler to switch back and forth, but that's not something I like to do.
I was at the grocery store the other morning and shoppers close to me thought I was having an attack. I was! For the first time ever, I saw these. A friend sent this bar to me and I loved it, but never saw it locally. I could have been missing it which is entirely possible, but not this time. Guess how many of these are left as I type? Nope. Try again. ...... One more time....... yep! You got it.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, a blessed Easter, a joyous Passover.

Now, this pear is perfect!!!!! Oh, and, pass the chocolate please!!!!!
Love this pear, I am just finishing the little "WOOL" pillow from Pineberry Lane so this is great timing,I love the other pears and have done most of them also.Your Chocolate is my chocolate! Lucky me cause we have had it hear in Canada for quite a while. Also wanted to say good for you for Standing up and shouting EASTER! I wasn't aware it was banned in some places.
I am learing something here, not being aloud to say Easter? Funny land you live in! Have a very happy Easter with lots of choc eggs, uh bars!! Good to see you can get those!
Love the pear! and the drawers cabinet is just lovely:))
Have a good Easter Sunday.
Thanks for the new Pear, Marly. I love these so much! This one is beautiful! Happy Easter to you!!
Hi Marly, Happy Easter. It's Easter Sunday here. Thank you for the lovely pear chart. I will have to sit down and make a few of them again. Haven't had a chance with the way things are going in my life.
We have Cadbury chocolates here as well. They are made in Tasmania. Cadbury's is an English company, who came to Australia after merging with Fry's. 2 Quaker families. Their chocolates are delicious. - Sandra.
Happy Easter, Marly! Love the pear! Went to breakie Thursday a/m....they had a chalk board on the wall that said, "Happy Holidays"....I told the waitress, this is not the Christmas season, it is Easter and would she please change "Happy Holidays" to HAPPY EASTER! I'm not one you will find in church on Sundays, but I do know EASTER when I see it!!!
Happy Easter to you too, and I wholeheartedly agree...seems we must be tolerant of everything but the Christian faith. Love your blog and love the pears....the chocolate isn't too bad either, I've had that before. Have a blessed Easter.
Happy EASTER, Marly, and thank you for another beautiful pear.
I don't know what's happening to our country~~~it's "the holidays" now instead of Merry Christmas and now Happy Easter.. We, who wish to, can still great friends and folks in the way we see fit.
I'm going to have to look for some of "your" chocolate. If chocolate lifts the spirits thats all right with me.
Again, Happy Easter,
Charlotte in Va.

Hello,
A Happy and Holy Easter to you. Can't believe what you wrote about banning the word Easter. Makes you wonder who is in charge of these stupid ideas. Your pear is fantastic, you will just love Cadbury's chocolate, went through their factory in Tasmania a few years ago.
Happy days.
Bev.
Hello, Marly,
Your comment about preaching a Tolerant Society and then telling us tha we can't use words like Easter...you're brilliant, Lady. Could never have worded that so beautifully myself.
And another thing: your PEARS just get prettier and prettier!
You're SUCH a talent!!
Have a Blessed Easter, Sweetie.
Thank you for yet another wonderful pear design. You've made love a fruit I never cared for before!
Beautiful pear!! And I wholeheartedly agree with you- seems like the only thing that is not tolerated these days is Christianity. Sad world we live in! God bless you this Easter! He is risen!
I do love your new pear. Have a very Happy Easter!!
thank you for this beautiful pear !

Thank you for another gorgeous design. May you enjoy all the blessings of Easter.
Another lovely chart, Happy Easter.
Okay--so you have four left.. which means I have 10! Sigh! When and if I get around to posting on my blog, there will be LOTS of mention of your name, because I have two pear finishes to share and I took a shot of my upstairs mantle, which has your boxes on it! Now just to get the camera charged and get the pics onto this computer! Happy Easter to you! Hugs!
Thank you for another beautiful pear! I can't wait to start this one. Have a Happy Easter!

Oh Sweet! Thanks for adding to my stash. Your pears are so wonderful, and someday they will all be stitched. I love every one!
I like the way you made the grapevine wreath behind the pear display too. That is really cleaver.
Happy Easter to you too! I swear we are living in a crazy world sometimes. Why are we only tolerant to the minority in this country?
Have a wonderful week. Thanks for always inspiring me.
Love the new pear; it's beautiful! I'm having trouble clicking on it. Is it just me?
Another beautiful pear design and I love the photo shoot too.
I've overdosed on chocolate bunnies and can not face any more chocolate at present :)
