Three sizes of Santas

Hiya.  Here's my finish.  His coat trim was supposed to be cream 738, and the beard and moon in Ecru.  Not sure if I made the right choices in color changes.  I stitched the trim last so it will be an easy removal and something tells me it will be 738 when it gets to the sewing machine for finishing.

And an idea of size difference.

I want a few Santas larger than the ornaments for bowl fillers and shelves.  There are two that I like, a little larger than this blue one, in book 53 (bottom corners) and I want to do both.  Not sure if that is what's next - or another from 88 - or maybe #62 Kris Kringle.  For Cathie J  (you're no-reply) the Santas are all Prairie Schoolers and I refer to them by the book number instead of chart name.
My sister's car broke down again and I hope it doesn't cost me too much!  I took her to the church this morning before my therapy, to make pierogis.  Oh how I wish I could find dry cottage cheese again, our favorite type of pierogi and palacinke (nalesniki).  I like my dough better than the church's.  It has sour cream in it and is so silky, easy roll, and quick pinch!  Enough about food.  That monster machine hasn't helped with the girth increase from Halloween candy.
I got the windows washed with Dawn and hose rinsed yesterday so today will be an easy wipe with Cinch and my microfiber glass rag.  The hose was already put away but I pulled it back out and left it stretched in the yard for hours so the woodpeckers could see it.  Hopefully they will remember and fear the jumping woman with the wild hair and jet stream.  Like they care.  They're at the top of the second story where the water jet becomes a trickle,  drumming a tune called Squirt Me If You Can.
Have a happy hump day - and Happy Birthday to Chris!

Thanks for visiting.

I like your blue-coated Santa! I would leave the ecru for his beard.

I like your new Santa the way you have done it.. His beard stands out so nicely and the trim on his coat is not too dark. I like the moon the color that it is too.
This is just my opinion.. You are a wonderful stitcher and you have a great eye for color. I don't know how you get them done so fast..
I wish I had know about Prairie Stitcher Santas a long time ago.
Enjoy !

Oh, I love the blue Santa just the way he is. But the rules are, you can do what you want, right? If you change him, he'll still look great!

I really like the blue Santa with the colors you've chosen, but I understand why you'd want to change it too.

It seems there would be something that you could put on or near your house to scare the woodpeckers away so you don't have to threaten them with the garden hose. I didn't get my windows cleaned and now it's too late in the year.

Yes, you are indeed a fast stitcher! You will never be nominated next year for the Silver Sloth award at this rate! And oh yum! Pierogi & nalesniki! I need to move to your town : )

After looking and then comparing your finished Santas, I just realized that sometimes the colors shown for the designs do not excite me. I love your color changes and choices. What a difference.

NALESNIKE? Marly, Sweetie...you're my kinda woman!!
I know what you mean about the dry-curd cottage cheese. I asked a young man about buying some at my nearest Safeway...which is a large store...he just kind of looked at me, frightened-like. I told him not to worry, I'd come back in the morning. Junior didn't have the slightest idea...but I'm sure the grown-ups won't be much better...
I love your blog too!!

These are beautiful! I'm a huge Prairie Schooler fan and collector, but I'm only stitching my first of their "annual" Santa designs which I started last night. Do you use 18 count Aida for yours? I started mine on 18 count Putty Davos fabric, but not a fabric I'm used to stitching on, and so far I'm not a fan. :-( May have to re-start this Santa on a different fabric - maybe 28 or 32 count linen?
