What's next?

Hiya.  How's the week going?  Mine has been unproductive so far.  I have so many tasks to do, and starting another before the prior is finished, is creating total confusion.  And nothing is done.  Much time was wasted looking for the yogurt I just started eating and set down somewhere.  I didn't want to wait until the odor led me to it, so I took the time to search.  Good thing I realized it was missing.
I'm not anxious to go through the charts and linen rolls to choose the next project.  I can't decide if I should use the Swiffer or Reveal mop, so how can I pick a project?  This afternoon I will make a hole in the clutter on the table, and paint some boxes if I can find my brushes.  I was using them to test wall paint samples and now....????  I'm sure when I start searching, something else will catch my eye, I will become distracted, and either change my mind about painting or forget what I was looking for.  The tall 4" oval was discontinued so I bought them all and have loads.  Some will be covered with fabric, some papered, some labeled.  I can be thinking about the next project while I'm working.  Eliza Pomeroy and Ann Wragg at still topping the list.
Cabinets will be coming next week and I need to decide on latex or oil based paint.  We will probably install them before they and the walls are painted because I don't have room to set them somewhere.  They are 36 x 42 and 52 x 42, plus the legs for a total of 54" in height.  Only one wall is being made right now.  He didn't have time for anything else so I took what I could get.  Saw these on Pinterest and loved the simplicity and clean lines.

I still like primitive, but am leaning more toward a very sparse look in every room.  I usually start simplifying in the spring and adding more and more as the year goes on.  Too much to take care of and dust.  I'm not 60 anymore.  When the cabinets arrive, I'll probably celebrate with a little giveaway. Yes, again.  Boring isn't it?  This time, it may be a pear.  That's little!!  I like them, but I don't need 12 (well...11 - I threw out the shamrock).  Well...10 - never did like that first one on Jobelan either!  Which was your favorite?
OK.  Off the computer and on to hunting for brushes.
Thanks for visiting - enjoy the week's end.

Some days are like that, Marly. As for the pears, I liked the Valentine one and the patriotic ones myself.

Hmmm...like the picture of the cabinets on the left. Hope you find your brushes! Hmmm...maybe you should take a chocolate break and then look for the brushes.

Glad you found your yogurt, lol. Love the pictures. Every year I say I am going to cut back and streamline but never seem to be able to part with my treasures. I love the sampler on the right in your header, the one with all brown stitching. Can you share whose design it is? thanks so much.

Thanks for the laugh...my house is organized the same way...not at all...sometimes have to use the land line to call the cell to find it...
I'm liking those cabinets too...

I am about as organised as you are, I count it a successful day if I complete one thing! I love the cabinets on the left but I soner how easy it is to clean the floors in and around the feet. Love the look, just not sure about the cleaning. My favorite pear was the one with the verse that starts off "to thine own self be true".

I have always liked the white (Not sanitary white) kitchens even though I currently have med. dark wood and med. dark granite. But then for me, beggars cannot be choosers. So I had to take what was available. To answer your ?, PHOTO ON THE LEFT. Don't have a favorite pear as I like them all.

I love all of your pears ! The one about Rebirth is special. However, the most special one, to me, is "Swan Song". I won that pear in one of your give aways.
I need to stay away from Pinterest too. Too many ideas. Boggles ones mind.
Take care.

I am a big fan of off white cabinets...if you can manage the longer drying time for the kitchen, oil is the way. My first house had oil based paint in kitchen, white walls and blue painted cabinets...I have since moved but know the new owners and the paint is still going strong (30+yrs). In my case many dogs and three children later, scrubbing all the time.

Love both of those Pinterest cabinet finds, Marly! I'm so glad your cabinets will arrive soon--you must be so excited...

I like all of your pear designs, but think the Valentine one and the very first are my favorites. Still can't believe I haven't stitched one--I know the finishing is scaring me off!

Oh I can relate Marly, but down my paint brush beside the freezer today while I went looking for Lord knows what and it took me over an hour to find it again. It is getting terrifying! Hope the cabinets arrive without anymore delay and I couldn't pick a favourite pear if I tried, love them all!

The first of the year, I took out a bunch of WIPs that I wanted to stitch and finish this year. Have stayed away (so far) from buying anymore charts or starting anything new. But as the year goes on, it gets harder and harder. I agree that Pinterest is dangerous! You can spend forever on there, just looking and wishing and saving for another day... yikes! I like the cabinets on the left, just in case you wondered. However, my kitchen cabinets look somewhat like the ones on the right! They are 10 years old. I am happy. LOVE my knobs and handles--they are copper!! Hugs!
