In honor of Squeak, Budman, Nitzy, Missy, the scores my brother has rescued, and all of the homeless abandoned cats that you have helped, may I present Miss Fancy Feral.
Fancy is hoping that everyone will give a donation to their local rescue groups, and is looking for a new home. One of the prisoners at the vets with Bud was found in a tied plastic grocery bag along the road, and missing one eye. Just one of many horror stories, most even worse, and these devoted organizations are always in need.

She's also my birthday (which is over) giveaway. Stitched on linen with cotton backing, she will have a Mylar insert and thin batting. Or not. Haven't decided yet, but I've stitched many of these and too much filling doesn't look as good.
I hope Blogger gets fixed soon because I have only one blog in my reading list and it will not show any more. I've checked their forums and it seems many are having the same issue and Blogger has not been able to correct the glitch. I've been munching on these while waiting and I can't stop!! OMG good.

Oh goodness, yes! My mom's tiny kitty is taming down. "It"(still don't know if it is a boy or girl), now purrs and licks them. :)

Like you, Marly, I have taken in a "few" rescues - 5 to be exact. I wouldn't trade them for all the tea in China but would dearly love to give your kitty a home. Sending prayers for Squeak too.

Marly....a belated Happy Birthday! I am not much of a cat lover but I do have a rescue dog I love to pieces! I have a friend who loves cats and has 3 of her own she has gotten at the local animal shelter. If I am picked for the cat I will pass it on to her since she is a cat lover and acts like a little kid when she gets a present!

I do give to my local shelter 20 a month and bags of food 2 for dogs and 2 for cats. My rescue cat was the best cat ever!

Marly, Our two kitties, brother and sister, Sheldon and Pippa, who we adopted from Petsmart on Dec. 15, 2012 would love for me to have your sweet feral stitched kitty.. You KNOW I'd love her too.
I helped to find a home for two sweet orange and white kitties several years ago.. I found out that the little male was being choked by the little boy in the family. I went on the internet looking for no-kill shelters, per the Grandmother's request. The kittens would come to my home starved and would "scoff" down two of the large sized cans of kitty food twice a day.. I did find a foster "Mom" for the babies and she found a forever home for them..
Every time I go to Petsmart, to get food for our babies, there are kitties in the glass cages waiting for someone to give them a forever home..
Thank you for all you do for the kitties who come to your home for shelter..

Our Vacation Bible school has designated our local animal shelter to be the recipient of monies collected and also asking for food and bedding. The theme this year is weird animals. ..walk on the wild side. Should be fun!
Horrible people that can be so cruel to poor animals that can't protect themselves! Though I am a dog person, I have kitty allergies, this would make a cute present for my cat living cousin who is recovering from surgery. And actually I love it myself and I don't think she would shed much :) Happy Belated Birthday!
our Bubba was found on the side of the road with his other siblings trying to nurse from their dead mom..someone threw them on the side of the highway, and a classmate of my kids rescued them and we took Bubba…He was 3 weeks old, eyes still closed and I had to teach him to eat, pee, and poop..He is now 11 years old and still thinks he is my baby..We have rescued 14 cats over the years…I love reading your stories about your cats..I would love to give her a home, so please include me…thanks Debbie

Funny you should mention....just made a donation to my local shelter yesterday. I bet there are a lot of folks with a lot of stories and it's nice to know there are still good people out there. We can't save them all but we can try to make a few better. AC

Love the fancy cat and I also adore my rescues. I think they deserve a good life and need me as much as I need them. Clarice is sending kitty cuddles to Bud, Squeak and the others. I also make a donation to the local cat rescue every few months along with dropping off bedding, toys, food, ect...
I'm glad to read I'm not the only one with blogger issues...similar to yours. I hope they fix it soon.
Marly she is beautiful..We live on a dairy farm and get quite a few dropoffs, so last fall with our cat numbers getting high (38) I decided to get them all neutered and spayed. We have a group of volunteers in the county called Metro Ferals they will help you trap and vet for a very reasonable fee. We had this done just before Thanksgiving which happened to be when the weather decided to get like Winter, some of the younger ones ended up in my house One we all fell in love with, she was just wonderful, then she got sick and died this spring leaving us all heartbroken. Another call to Metro Ferals because people sometimes leave cats and kittens with them and we now have a new kitten and she is turning into a real nice cross stitcher or so she thinks.
