Looks like I will make it!

And that means it will be decision time for the winner.  I kept saying I would like this on dark brown and this 18th Century Brown was the darkest I had.  Birds of a Feather's Sparrow was the color I preferred but I don't like stitching on it so I set it aside. I am ASSUMING this will be finished for the drawing.  Not sure if it will be a hornbook or pillow.  I started Saturday and finished it this morning.

One last area to stitch and I wanted to show you how I sometimes work an image to help picture a finish.  I mentioned before about using the Paint program and all its little tweaks, here it is for color.  In one photo, I used the color of the grapes for the door, the other I manipulated the stitching and moved it for the brown.  Need to decide which I like better.

Be back tomorrow!

Looks great! I love anything Prairie Schooler. I might lean in the direction of the red door.

Brown door for me...and I like using 2 purples(light and dark) for the grapes.

That's really interesting how you work with Paint to determine color changes, Marly. It sure would save a lot of ripping out (well, maybe!). I like both colors, but I'm leaning toward the second photo...

That is a tough choice. I like both of them. I don't know which one I would choose. Not much help from me. ; )

I like the purpley door, but if it were me I'd do the triangle above the door in the gray/brown. Yeah, guess I've just got to be different.

I have to say that I like the grape colored door better.

I vote for the red door. I like that small punch of color.

The brown lets the fox and the grapes take center stage - no competition with as there is with the red door

The door really pops with the grape color but thats what draws my eye and nothing else and I really like the fox and crow and grapes SO I say the dark door even tho it doesnt pop as much its more calming

Boh are lovely, the brown one looks more "traditional"
Great idea using Paint to test the colors!

Both are lovely, the brown looks more traditional. I would go with the brown. Lovely Stitching

Marly, I always learn from your posts. Love the way you use the paint to determine how to proceed with your choice of color. I'd choose brown because it comes across warm to me and I usually choose more muted colors.
