Hey! How the hell are you? For those of you struggling with an issue, reach out to someone for help or comfort. You may be surprised at the angels among us.

I've abbreviated several designs lately and have been pleased with all of them. One day, when I remember, I would like to pull motifs from samplers for very small ornaments. Not easy to find smalls small enough for miniature Christmas trees. Of course, using a high linen count would make designs smaller, but would also make me crabbier.

I am sanding and gluing today, hope to have the sale start Sunday and will let you know for sure on Friday. If you think I've been annoying with the problems I've been having, think of how I feel!
I will have the sander in one hand and the hose in the other as I jump around squirting woodpeckers off the siding. I better check the amps on the sander.
Have a good day folks.

Love that peacock, Marly! The backing fabric is perfect.
Good idea...
Cute bird too.
Peace for all,
Barb
Sweet finish, Marly! I love the backing fabric you used.
Precious peacock Marly!
That did turn out fabulously!!
You are too funny! LOL! You had me with "how the hell are you"! I'm great because Fall has started even in too hot AR. Your peacock turned out gorgeous and nice finish! Great idea about taking motifs out of larger designs as I have the same issue...little tree ornaments.
Little peacock looks fantastic. I've used tacky glue to put things together (like stitched pieces on top of boxes) but never considered closing up an ornament with it - what a great idea.
As they say, you know how to make lemonade out of lemons, by the way, that rarely works for me! Good going!
Очень красиво!...
Love your little peacock. I've done smaller bits of stitching several times. Did a small bunny from one of my patterns.
Thank you for the information about the glue. I like to close some of my ornaments without having to stitch the backs.
I got a good chuckle about the woodpeckers.
Have a happy day.

Peacock! My love ))))
Just read back through your Blog and it sounds like your life, with its ups and downs, mimics mine. Some days it does not pay to get up, but sleeping is even impossible for fretting about your ups and downs. I keep telling myself it will get better. Wishing you a happy day!!!
LOVE your peacock and can't wait for the sale!!
Love that peacock, Marly! Have never tried glueing an edge shut on an ornament, but I may give it a try some day. I use Aleene's so much for everything else--might as well try your idea :)
Love the blue peacock. Great idea to close the ornament with glue. I will definitely try that, my hand sewing is not the best. I did a miniature tree years ago. I latch hooked the tree and then cross stitched tiny ornaments for it. The kit came with little gold ornament holders to put the little stitched pieces in. I still bring out that tree every Christmas. Love your idea of stitching small motifs for little ornaments.
I don't follow many blogs...but glad I found yours. Only just realized you have freebie patterns. What a dope I am.
