Strut your stuff

He's a big boy.

Progress on Rebecca Hall.  Not much contrast shows in the photo but there is enough between the Straw linen and the flowers.  822 was too light, other light beiges were too pinkish against it, so 738 worked the best.  I like it.  Instead of doing prominent colors, I decided to keep the soft look of the original, so I went with a muted brown and green.  Still may have some changes in the bottom.

Am I enjoying this little sampler?  Well, yes and no.  I really like it, I don't like to stitch it.  I told Mark I am about ready to stop the stitching and he encouraged me to continue small projects, and not to take a break.  We'll see.

Four weeks on WW.  The first week was five pounds, and I finally lost ONE more.  Three weeks. Sticking to points, not using the extras, hungry.  Everyone else is dropping weight more quickly.  I'll see what happens next week and if there is no more progress, I will return to my own plan that shed thirty pounds ten years ago.

Have a nice week!
Thanks for visiting.

Me too Marly. After I had my bladder surgery on the 3rd of April, I managed to gain back 10 lbs I previously lost. What the Hey is this? I too joined WW. the first 5 lbs is always water. Now for the fat. Let me know about your plan if you do not mind.
Peace and Blessings,
Barb

Your sampler is looking good. I like the 738 on that linen color. Tom Turkey looks quite dapper. Since it is turkey hunting season here, we have seen only a few solo females out and about.

Me too! What the heck is your secret plan to go back to? I'm starving myself right now too but the batteries in the scale are dead so I don't know what I am loosing.

Love your colors on your sampler. Don't stop stitching. You have enjoyed it for so many years.
Losing the weight takes time. Be patient..........I know about being patient.
Beautiful "yard bird" you have there. All if have are stray cats who anger my kitties.
Happy Wednesday.

Go with your weight loss plan! Yep.

I'd like to know your plan. I'd like to get down to pre-menopause weight. I see post menopause women, admittedly few, who do not have the weight gain that I experienced. But comparison solves nothing and I realize that women may have been extremely thin during their life. The picture of the turkey is amazing. He is beautiful! Like the muted colors too!

Hi Marly, This sampler is beautiful!! I love the muted colors you chose. "Tom Turkey" is quite handsome. Thanks for sharing. Sorry to hear about the WW progress. Sometimes it takes a little while to get over a hurdle and then the hard work and weight loss will happen more quickly. Take care. SAH

The turkey is so amazing! Wow! I do love the soft colors of the little sampler. WW is going slowly for me to but I have lost about 18 altogether since Jan. I will stick with it for awhile yet.

Cheering you on whatever you decide "not to eat".....Be patient,
then go to the sure thing for guaranteed results. I always love
your play of color on these smalls. Now working on your most
recent "freebie"...I did a bit of a shift in palette, but in the
Marly tradition... Enjoying ... many thanks.

Love the antique look! Everybody loses their "mojo" at some point. Take a break, look for inspiration and you'll get it back. I wish I could admire "Tom" but I almost hit one crossing the road on Saturday. I'm glad there wasn't a car coming toward me. We have plenty of turkeys and plenty of coyotes but the turkeys keep coming anyway lol. My wild rabbits seem to have left the house this year after inhabiting the backyard all winter and I don't see any babies yet. I'm on and off WW. I lose very slowly when I'm extremely careful and I fit in clothes I haven't worn in two years. The leader told me not to expect more than a pound per week :(

What a wonderful picture of the turkey!!! He's a biggie for sure.
Good luck with the WW. Losing is tough ~ gaining is a piece of cake ~ or two :)

I like WW usually. You should talk to your leader and eat all of your points. Even some of the extras. You should never be hungry on WW, there are a whole bunch of free foods. I want to go back on it soon, but right now I know that I won't stick to it. I am wishing you luck.

Your sampler is looking great - you have an excellent eye for color, things always end up looking lovely when you make changes.

What a marvelous turkey! He was right there in your yard?

Love your Tom. He is huge.. we have some Tom Turkeys that I see not far from my house. They like to stand by the main road and watch the cars go by. We have coyotes by us too. Don't like those. I love your sampler. Hope your WW diet goes better for you. I gave up on diets long time ago they just don't work for me.
